The big hair. The lashes. The rhinestones. The perfectly styled curls. She never tried to tone herself down to make other people comfortable — she leaned all the way into what made her feel beautiful.

And I think that’s why so many people love her.

Your hair doesn’t have to be “natural.” Your makeup doesn’t have to be minimal. You don’t have to follow whatever aesthetic is trending this month.

Sometimes beauty is simply looking in the mirror and thinking, yep… this feels like me.

Today feels unbelievably heavy. 💔

I’ve had so many of you reach out to check on me, and honestly… you know me well. I am absolutely heartbroken.

Dolly Parton wasn’t just my favorite musician. She was my idol. My favorite person in this world that I never actually got the chance to know. I admired everything about her — her music, her humor, her business mind, her acting, her generosity, her kindness, her faith, and most of all, the way she used everything she was given to make other people’s lives a little brighter.

She was proof that you could be wildly successful without ever forgetting where you came from. That you could be glamorous and silly and brilliant and kind all at the same time. That you could build an empire and still care deeply about giving back.

And for me, Dolly became part of my own little world.

The salon was named, in part, for her. The pink, the sparkle, the Dolly everywhere — it was all because of a woman I looked up to more than I could ever put into words. Every time I walked into my salon, I got to be surrounded by a little piece of something I loved so much.

So today, walking into All Dolled Up feels different.

It feels like I lost a tiny piece of the magic that inspired it in the first place.

I know she belonged to the whole world, but selfishly, today I’m grieving her like I lost someone who was mine. And I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. Dolly had a way of making millions of people feel like she was talking directly to them. And she spoke to me.

Thank you, Dolly, for giving us your music. For giving us your laughter. For giving so much of yourself to children, families, strangers, and communities. For showing generations of women that you could dream BIG, work your ass off, be unapologetically yourself, and still lead with kindness.

I hope God welcomed you home with pink glitter, butterflies, and that unmistakable Dolly sparkle. ✨💗 I hope Carl Dean was right there waiting for you with open arms, ready to take your hand and walk you through those pearly gates, together again. ❤️

And I hope you know just how many lives you touched.

Including mine. And now, my daughters’ lives too. I hope they grow up knowing exactly who Dolly Parton was, what she stood for, and why she meant so much to their mama. 💗

All Dolled Up will always be a little piece of your legacy in my world. And I promise I’ll keep the pink, the sparkle, the music, and the love for you going.

Yesterday’s salon appointment turned into the BEST surprise. 🥹🤍

My brother was coming in for his haircut, when he and my sister-in-law surprised me by bringing my brand-new nephew, Remi Dean, up to the salon so I could finally meet him. 🥰

And y’all… this baby is a LITTLE CLONE OF MY RORY! 😭💙 I immediately fell in love with him.

Getting to snuggle my newest nephew while doing what I love? Definitely the best salon visit ever. 🥹✂️🤍
