If mineral makeup is leaving your skin dry, this may be the best way to remove it: the double cleanse!

I’ve been using this method for years because it removes makeup really well without harsh rubbing. In the video I also share the simple DIY cleansing oil I use. It’s made for normal to dry, mature skin, but if your skin is oily, you can easily swap the argan and rosehip for squalane or grapeseed oil instead.

You put your foundation on looking cute in the morning… then you catch yourself in the bathroom mirror at lunch and suddenly understand why your coworkers were giving you that look...or humming the oompa-loompa song when they see you😟😂

Foundation turning orange isn’t always because you picked the wrong shade. Oxidation, skincare, your skin’s natural oils, and even certain ingredients can all play a role.

If your mineral foundation never seems to last through the day — especially if you have dry or mature skin — this DIY primer might be exactly what you’ve been looking for. And it’s so easy to make! 😌

All you need is a tablespoon of aloe vera, half a tablespoon of distilled water, and 1/4 teaspoon of glycerin. Mix well in a small container and use it right before you put on your mineral foundation. This is ideal for those that have difficulty getting their mineral foundation to last through the day, and especially for those that already have dry or mature skin.

Just remember to make up only a little bit at a time because this doesn’t have preservatives and will probably last you up to seven days. But that’s the beauty of it — it’s much more natural than the store-bought stuff, and you know what’s in it because you made it! 🥰🌱

It’s not the same for everyone! Your skin type will obviously make a difference—if your skin is on the dry side, you may not need it at all.

But there are other factors too, like the ingredients in your mineral foundation and what is actually in your setting or finishing powder. In fact, there is a difference between the types.
