This client wouldn’t agree that she had a good foundation to her brows, but I could see she was just missing a little structure and length. ✨

Her brows started a bit too short and lacked definition through the tails, so our goal wasn’t to change her brows but to enhance what was already there.

We followed her natural shape, adding length exactly where the brow hair should naturally grow and creating soft, realistic nano strokes for a fuller, more balanced shape.

The result: her brows, just better. Natural, structured, and still completely believable 💓

Choosing a permanent makeup artist is about so much more than knowing what to look for in a before and after photo.

An experienced artist also needs to know when not to tattoo.

When previous permanent makeup is too dark, too saturated, the wrong color, poorly positioned, or there simply isn’t enough healthy skin left to create a beautiful result, adding more pigment isn’t always the answer. Sometimes the responsible answer is removal first.

Can we cover old work sometimes? Absolutely. But just because we can put more pigment into the skin doesn’t mean we should.

Every additional procedure affects the skin and influences what we’re able to create in the future. Continuing to layer pigment over compromised or heavily saturated work can make correction increasingly difficult and can ultimately limit your options.

This is why experience matters.

Your artist should understand skin, pigment, color theory, saturation, previous technique and how permanent makeup changes over time … not just how to create something that photographs beautifully immediately after an appointment.

Sometimes protecting your long-term result means telling you something you don’t necessarily want to hear.

If I tell you we need removal before I’ll work over your brows, I’m not turning you away. I’m protecting your face and giving us the best canvas possible to create something beautiful. 🤍

With the right technique, we can often neutralize unwanted tones, improve shape, and carefully cover or refresh old pigment to create a softer, more natural result.

Have previous permanent makeup? A consultation is required before booking. You may schedule an in-person consultation or send us clear, makeup-free photos of your brows for review.

Not all previous work can safely or successfully be covered. Depending on the saturation, color, shape, and depth of the existing pigment, removal or lightening may be recommended before new permanent makeup is performed.

Every correction is different, which is why evaluating your existing work first is so important.
