Check out the Neuro-Myo-Fascial school of fish 🐟!!!
The Neuro-Myo-Fascial tissue web as a school of fish. The fish are like motor units, of which we have several million in our bodies. Much like fish learning to swim in schools, our motor units 'swim' together, often in a dysfunctional pattern and cause pain or distress. Depending on the quality of sensory feedback, the fascial web allows communication with a few 'fish motor units' and slowly persuade the other fish to follow a better direction. Neuro-Myo-Fascial response movement, one fish at a time.

"Fascial Smoothing" - our connective tissue, fascia, is well represented in the 'webbed-figure'. Structural fascia moves through and connects our moving parts from head to toe. Within our fascia, flow nerves, lymph, and millions of mechanoreceptors. Utilizing 'The Stingray' & 'The Isolator' tools, I am able to communicate with various systems at play, following lines and patterns, using 'pressure movements', and light tapping motions, releasing top layers first. If you are having soft tissue related pain, 'deep work' can be painless, but only, if superficial tissue layers are released first.
With fascia work, there are times when two 30 min. sessions are better then one longer session. Simply, fascia takes longer to respond than other structural tissues. Drop me a note with any questions, or make an appointment through the website!

Postural Massage and Bodywork, consists of 'teaching' and 'manual' approaches.
A body that is out of balance uses much more energy fighting gravity than you may be aware of, and, in the end, gravity wins.
Postural balancing of myofascial or structural soft tissues is much slower than muscular strength training, which is often rapid.
It may take 3-9 months to see tissue remodelling effects, as well, feel them through palpation.

These manual therapy tools were designed to become an actual extension of the therapist's hands, allowing superior control and more detailed treatments.
For years, I have resisted using tools because they often felt clumsy in my hands, or I couldn't 'feel' through them. With the 'Stingray' and 'Isolator' using a lighter touch, I am able to find soft tissue adhesions, get lymph movement, say, "hey, I'm here to help", to a 'bazillion' mechanoreceptors under distress. This allows ease in approach to deeper compromised tissues.
Be good to yourself. Receive manual bodywork for maintenance, healing, and creating more 'space' in a tightly held body container. Move freer!
