People are often surprised that Darin and I literally make makeup. Our foundation, lipsticks, lipglosses, eyeshadows, blushes, etc we mix right in front of you. The colors and formulas we use we've perfected over the 29 years we've been in business. We base our colors on the color system that Darin developed. We hand paint hundreds of swatches so you can look as good as you feel in your personal colors. Everything we do, we do with care, diligence, attention to detail, and nerdiness. We wear what you do, and we care what goes on our skin. When you visit our shop, you visit a place that is reminiscent of a time when mom and pop shops were the norm on Main st.

BLUE UNDERTONES DON'T EXIST IN SKIN
If you look at your veins and see green or blue, know that the reason you do is the same reason the sky is blue. Earth's atmosphere scatters light. White light is the presence of the full light spectrum, but each color has a different wavelength. Under the water you'll lose RED fast because it's the longest wavelength. The absence of light is black (space). The opposite is true for pigment and human perception.
Pigment and light are DIFFERENT when discussing color. This is why using digital media and light based media for color analysis is often inaccurate. For accurate color analysis it is our opinion ONLY pigment based drapings are accurate.
Our color analysis system uses SKIN as the baseline, but we break it down color by color. Color based analysis is able to more accurately capture the spectrum of hue you are. You can wear every color, but you absolutely need the right undertone.
