Huron Cottage - soap, candles, etc.

It’s candle season. 🕯️🍂
Cooler nights. Earlier sunsets. The windows are closing a little earlier, the blankets are coming back out, and lighting a candle at 4:30 in the afternoon suddenly seems completely reasonable.
Swipe through a few Huron Cottage favorites and tell us: which one would you light first?

It’s tea season. 🍂🍵

The evenings are getting cooler, and suddenly the tea cupboard matters again.

A few cups we’re reaching for right now: Masala Chai, Chamomile Calm, Lavender Mint and classic Earl Grey.

Teaology Tea Co. has nearly 50 loose-leaf teas, from everyday black and green teas to caffeine-free herbals and botanical wellness blends.

Find your cup.

The older I get, the less excitement I want :)

Ten years ago I'd have planned a weekend full of thing to do (and drink).

Now?

A quiet morning, a good cup of tea, and about three hours with nobody needing anything from me sounds pretty close to perfect.

Maybe that's why I created THE DARK LAKE.

It reminds me of those places in Northern Michigan where time seems to slow down on its own.

No agenda - no rushing - just enough quiet to hear yourself think again

If you've been craving a little more peace lately . . . you're not alone.

The Dark Lake is one of my favorites for exactly that reason.

There is something timeless about an evening around a campfire.

The warmth. The quiet. The scent of cedar and woodsmoke drifting through the air.

Our Campfire candle was created to capture that feeling and bring it into your home.

Whether you're winding down after a busy day or dreaming about weekends at the lake, Campfire fills your space with the cozy comfort of Northern Michigan.

Hand-poured in small batches.

There are days when you don't need another cup of coffee.

You need a walk in the woods.

You need fresh air.

You need quiet.

We can't all disappear into the forest every Tuesday afternoon.

But we can bring a little of that feeling home.

Quiet Wood was created to capture that peaceful moment when everything finally gets still.

If you could disappear into one Northern Michigan forest today, where would you go?

Can I give you permission to do something tonight?

Leave the dishes for ten minutes - light a candle - put the kettle on - sit on the porch - read a chapter - listen to the birds - or simply do nothing.

We're constantly told to be more productive.

Around, we believe slowing down is productive too.

That's exactly why we created Weathered.

What's your version of "ahhhhh"?

Home isn't about perfection.
It's about how a place makes people feel.
Fresh flowers.
A favorite candle.
A warm cup of tea.
The windows open on a summer evening.
Those are the moments that inspired WEATHERED, one of our signature Huron Cottage candles.
This week we're celebrating the simple comforts that make a house feel like home.
Sometimes it's just the smell of a candle . . . .

What's one thing that instantly makes your home feel welcoming?

Some mornings don't ask us to do more.

They ask us to slow down.

A favorite mug.

Fresh tea.

An open window.

Before the day becomes busy, take a few quiet moments for yourself.

That's what inspired this week's Teaology feature, **Lumbini**.

How do you begin your mornings?

Some places never seem to change.
A weathered boathouse
A quiet dock
Morning light on the water
The Boathouse is the first candle we're featuring from our new Inland Lakes & Rivers Collection.
