Let’s talk Perioral Dermatitis 🌿 I have been struggling with this skin condition for a few months. I am not new to Perioral dermatitis, it is something that I have battled since I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 22 years old. A few months ago, something triggered this dermatitis and it has greatly affected my skin and it has been a battle. I have tried to figure out what the trigger is and I’m still unsure. What is it exactly? Perioral (periorificial) dermatitis is a red rash that circles your mouth. Your skin can be scaly, dry and flaky with swollen, inflamed bumps called papules. It is one of many types of dermatitis. Perioral dermatitis can look like acne and is often mistaken for it. What have I found to heal mine? Neem capsules - 2 at night before bed. Neem capsules help with your skin health from the inside out! I also recommend taking these if you have acne as well! They have been a godsend! 2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap - this dried the dermatitis and reduced the redness on my skin. You can also use this bar on acne and eczema (according to @nobleformulaskincare ) I did not want to keep this helpful information a secret! This combination has seriously been a game changer in the struggle that I have faced over the last couple of months!
