FINE LINE ≠ JUST A THIN TATTOO.
A little tattoo can require a lot of technique.
🖋️ THE TECHNIQUE
Fine-line tattooing uses a different approach to needle configuration, depth, hand speed, pressure, pigment saturation, and spacing than traditional bold tattooing.
Traditional tattooing is generally built around stronger lines and heavier saturation. Fine line relies on precision and restraint because there is far less room for inconsistencies to hide.
And depth matters. Too shallow = poor retention. Too deep = increased risk of pigment spreading outside the intended line.
That’s why “I tattoo” and “I specialize in fine line” aren’t necessarily the same thing.
🔬 THE HEALED RESULT
Fresh tattoos photograph beautifully. Healed tattoos tell the real story.
Fine-line work should be designed with the healed result in mind — including line spacing, detail, placement and how the tattoo will age with your skin.
I don’t believe in treating fine line as simply another option on a service menu. It’s a technique that deserves specific knowledge, control and intention.
✨ YOUR TATTOO IS PERMANENT. YOUR ARTIST’S TECHNIQUE MATTERS.
At Impressions by Rhi, every fine-line tattoo is custom designed around your placement, size and desired result.

WHY IS LIP BLUSH SO POPULAR?
As beauty trends move toward subtle, natural-looking enhancement, lip blush has become increasingly popular. Celebrities and influencers have also brought more attention to the treatment.
But what can lip blush actually do?
WHAT CAN LIP BLUSH DO?
Lip blush is cosmetic tattooing that implants pigment into the lips to enhance their natural color and definition.
✓ Enhances natural lip color
✓ Improves uneven pigmentation
✓ Defines the lip border
✓ Creates more balanced-looking symmetry
✓ Adds definition and dimension
✓ Reduces the need for daily lip liner/lipstick
✓ Creates a customized color based on natural undertones
Lip blush does NOT add physical volume like filler. The result comes from pigment placement and color.
Modern lip blush is designed to heal softer and more natural than traditional cosmetic lip tattooing.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Established PMU artists in the Iowa/Nebraska market commonly charge $500–$750+.
My lip blush service is $600 and includes:
✓ Consultation & lip assessment
✓ Customized color selection
✓ Lip mapping
✓ Initial procedure
✓ Aftercare kit & instructions
✓ 6–8 week perfecting session
WHY YOUR ARTIST MATTERS
Permanent makeup requires more than operating a machine. Color theory, skin assessment, pigment behavior, needle configuration, implantation technique and symmetry all influence the healed result.
I’ve worked in permanent makeup for approximately three years and continue my education through training with established artists.
My focus is accuracy, consistency and creating a healed result that complements each client’s natural features.

WHY DOES FINE LINE TATTOOING + PERMANENT MAKEUP COST WHAT IT DOES?
A tattoo can look simple. That doesn’t mean the process behind it is.
The price of a service reflects much more than the time the needle is in the skin.
There’s the consultation, design work, skin preparation, equipment, single-use supplies, sanitation, pigments, needles, aftercare, studio expenses, education, and the actual procedure itself.
Then there’s the part that isn’t as visible: the decisions being made throughout the appointment.
With permanent makeup, pigment selection is based on the client’s natural lip color, undertone, skin, existing pigmentation, desired healed result, and how their skin is expected to respond.
The same pigment can heal differently on two people. A color that looks perfect in a bottle doesn’t necessarily translate the same way once it’s implanted and healed.
Fine line tattooing has its own considerations. Needle configuration, depth, pressure, hand speed, placement, skin tension, and line weight all affect how the tattoo looks during the appointment and how it heals afterward.
That’s why I don’t price my services based solely on how long the appointment takes.
You’re paying for the materials, preparation, customization, experience, and work that happens before, during, and after the appointment.
My goal is to provide work that is intentional from the beginning — not just something that looks good when you leave, but something that has been planned with the healed result in mind.

If you’re comparing artists or wondering why pricing varies so much, look beyond the number. Look at what is actually included in the service and how the artist approaches the work.

Your lips don’t need to be “done” every morning. They need to look good when you wake up. 🤍
If you’ve been debating Lip Blush, let’s put the investment into perspective:
$600 ÷ 24 months = $25/month
$600 ÷ 36 months = $16.67/month
$600 ÷ 48 months = $12.50/month
Lip Blush can typically last 2–4 years, depending on your skin, lifestyle, skincare and pigment retention.
Instead of constantly buying lip products, reapplying throughout the day, worrying about fading, or feeling like your lips disappear without makeup — imagine waking up with lips that already look defined, balanced and polished.
And this isn’t a one-size-fits-all color.
I customize your shape, tone and saturation around your natural features and the result YOU want. We’re enhancing what you already have — not creating a completely different mouth.
Your $600 appointment includes:
♡ Customized Lip Blush
♡ Color consultation + pigment selection
♡ Detailed mapping
♡ Full procedure
♡ Professional aftercare kit
♡ 6–8 week perfecting touch-up
💳 Payment plans available

Impressions by Rhi
Permanent Makeup + Fine Line Tattoo
Looking back at my old studio, the biggest difference isn’t just my collection.
It’s my knowledge.
I’ve become obsessed with pigments, color theory, undertones, modifiers, formulations, needle configurations, machine settings, depth, pressure, skin types, and healing.
I want a wide range of products so I can work with different skin tones, undertones, desired results, and individual needs—not try to make everyone fit into the same few colors.
I want to understand why I’m using something, not just know that it works.
And I’m constantly learning.
I take courses, learn from other artists, study techniques, products, healed results, and different approaches.
Because PMU is much more technical than people realize.
There’s a difference between putting pigment into skin and understanding how to work with skin.
Depth, saturation, trauma, skin response, pigment behavior, machine settings, and technique all play a role in the healed result.
I believe education gives us the foundation, but continuing education is what allows us to keep growing with the industry.
That’s a huge part of Impressions by Rhi.
I want to keep refining my technique, expanding my services, and understanding more—not because what I learned before wasn’t valuable, but because there is always more to learn.

life lately 🤍
I feel like lately I’ve just been really excited about life. 🥹
I’ve always been obsessed with beauty and makeup, and it’s so crazy to me that something I started loving when I was literally in 6th grade has turned into something I get to do for a living.
I love getting to wake up and create something pretty, meet new people, make someone feel more confident, and watch them leave loving something about themselves a little more. Whether it’s brows, lips, or whatever I’m working on that day, I genuinely get so excited about the results. 🥹
But I also feel like I’m entering a point in my life where I just want to experience more. I want to travel more, try new things, get stronger, keep growing my business, meet more people, make more memories, and just enjoy the life I’m building.
I don’t have everything figured out, and honestly, I don’t think I need to. I’m just really excited to see where life takes me.
And if you’re new here, hi, I’m Rhi. 🤍 This page might be about PMU, but there’s a whole person behind the brows, lip blush, and fine line appointments too. 😂
Here’s to doing more of what makes us excited to be alive. 🫶🏻
What’s something you’re excited about in your life right now? 👀
🖇️ LIP BLUSH IS PROBABLY THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD PMU SERVICE OUT THERE. 🤍
LET’S CLEAR IT UP:
Lip blush is NOT lipstick tattooed onto your lips.
It’s a customized cosmetic tattoo designed to enhance your natural lip color, improve definition, and create a more even-looking tone.
HERE’S WHAT LIP BLUSH ACTUALLY DOES:
(✓) Enhances your natural lip color
(✓) Creates a soft, customized tint
(✓) Helps define the lip border
(✓) Can help create a more balanced appearance
(✓) Saves you from constantly applying lip color
AND HERE’S WHAT IT DOESN’T DO:
(×) It doesn’t add volume like lip filler
(×) It doesn’t give everyone the same bright pink result
(×) Your lips won’t look like lipstick forever
(×) The color you see immediately after your appointment is NOT your final healed color
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, “I don’t want my lips to look fake.”
And honestly? I don’t either.
My goal isn’t to make you look like you’re wearing a permanent lipstick shade. It’s to create a color that works with your natural lips, your undertones, and the result you’re wanting.
Your lips should still look like YOUR lips—just more defined, more balanced, and with a little more color. 💋
If you’ve been curious about lip blush but have been scared to try it, DM me “LIPS.” I’ll answer your questions and help you decide if it’s right for you.

LIP BLUSH | COLOR THEORY • SKIN • PIGMENT
Lip blush is a cosmetic tattooing procedure, but the result is determined by much more than the pigment being implanted.
Natural lip color is influenced by melanin, vascularity, underlying tissue, and individual undertones. Because of this, two clients can receive the same pigment and heal completely differently.
This is why pigment selection should never be based solely on the color you want to see in the bottle.
Neutralization is an important part of lip blush for many clients.
When the lips contain cool purple, blue, gray, or overly muted tones, those colors have to be considered before introducing the desired target color. Complementary colors can be used strategically to shift the underlying tone toward a more suitable base.
The objective is not to cover the natural lip with an opaque color. It is to work with the existing tissue and manipulate the overall color balance.
The healing process is equally important.
Lip blush creates controlled micro-injury in the superficial skin, initiating the body’s normal wound-healing response. During healing, inflammatory and reparative processes occur, including fibroblast activity and collagen remodeling. As the tissue recovers, the initially intense pigment settles and the final healed color becomes softer.
This is why a lip blush should always be evaluated as a healed result, not by how saturated the lips appear immediately after the procedure.
A properly planned treatment takes into consideration:
• Skin tone
• Natural lip pigment
• Undertone
• Existing darkness or discoloration
• Desired healed color
• Pigment temperature
• Pigment concentration
• Individual healing characteristics
There is no universal lip blush formula.
Some clients need straightforward color implantation. Others require neutralization before a target color can be introduced. Some require more than one session to achieve the desired result.
That assessment is part of the service.

LIP BLUSH | AN ELEVATED APPROACH TO EVERYDAY BEAUTY
Lip blush is not lipstick. It’s refinement.
A customized cosmetic tattoo designed to enhance your natural lip tone, definition, and balance — creating a soft, effortless flush without the daily maintenance of liner or lipstick.
THIS RESULT — BEFORE THE PERFECTING SESSION.
Even before the 6–8 week perfecting appointment, you can see the difference in tone, definition, and overall balance.
The initial session establishes the foundation. Once the lips have completely healed, the perfecting session allows me to assess how your skin retained the pigment, refine any areas that need additional saturation, and perfect the final result.
WHAT LIP BLUSH CAN ENHANCE
Natural lip color
Lip border definition
The appearance of symmetry
Uneven or muted tone
The appearance of certain healed scars, when appropriate for treatment
LONGEVITY
Results typically last 2–4 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare, aftercare, pigment selection, and individual healing.
Some clients may see fading closer to two years, while others may enjoy their results for four years or longer before choosing a refresh.
YOUR INVESTMENT — $600
Your investment includes your consultation, customized color formulation, lip mapping, initial session, professional aftercare kit, and 6–8 week perfecting session.
When broken down over the typical lifespan:
2 years — $25/month
3 years — $16.67/month
4 years — $12.50/month
Years of effortless color for a fraction of what many spend continuously maintaining their lip routine.
And the experience matters just as much as the result.
Whether you want to talk, laugh, listen to music, or simply enjoy a quiet appointment, your experience is tailored to you.
No rushed appointments. No one-size-fits-all approach.
Just intentional artistry, personalized care, and a result designed specifically for you.
Luxury isn’t simply how the result looks.
It’s how you feel throughout the entire experience.

$600 FOR LIP BLUSH SOUNDS EXPENSIVE… UNTIL YOU DO THE MATH.
Let’s compare it to the beauty services you already spend money on:
Nails: $60 every 3 weeks → $1,000+/year
Lashes: $100 every 2–3 weeks → $1,700+/year
Facials: $100 every 4–6 weeks → $800–$1,200+/year
Lip Blush: $600 TOTAL
Initial session + 6–8 week touch-up included.
If your result lasts around 4 years, that’s about $150/year — or $12.50/month.
And unlike nails, lashes, or facials, you’re not booking another appointment every few weeks to maintain it.
“But doesn’t Lip Blush fade?”
Yes. It’s semi-permanent, so the color gradually softens over time. Longevity varies depending on your skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare, and healing.
Want more color later? Refresh sessions are available.
The goal isn’t to give you a bold lipstick look. Lip Blush enhances your natural lip color, definition, and symmetry for a more polished, effortless appearance.
