June is PTSD Awareness Month. Trauma can affect individuals, families, and our community in many ways. We recognize the strength it takes to face these challenges and the importance of support along the way.
At Analenisgi, we honor the resilience of our people and understand that healing is a journey that can be supported through connection, culture, and care. You are not alone. If you or someone you know is struggling with PTSD, we are here to help
Reaching out is a strong and important step toward healing.
During National Nurses Month, we proudly celebrate the dedicated nurses of Analenisgi who have chosen a career rooted in compassion, trust, patience, and service to others.
Every day, our behavioral health nurses do far more than provide clinical care. They create safe spaces, build meaningful connections, support individuals and families through difficult moments, and walk alongside patients on their path toward healing. Their work requires skill, empathy, resilience, and a deep commitment to caring for the whole person.
Many choose nursing because they want to make a difference in someone’s life. At Analenisgi, that difference is seen every day through the comfort offered, the trust built, the hope restored, and the support provided to those navigating mental health, substance use, and emotional wellness needs.
Happy National Nurses Month! We are grateful for the nurses who choose to serve through behavioral health care and who continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community.

Expanding on existing services already available at CIHA or through Tribal Programs such as Vocational Opportunities of Cherokee (VOC), which has served individuals with disabilities in the Cherokee community and surrounding areas for more than 50 years, the Preferred Provider Directory identifies trusted partners who deliver essential services designed to support individuals across every stage of life.
As the Enrichment Center Project continues to develop to supplement the work VOC provides in areas such as vocational evaluation, supported employment, community living supports, and long-term care services, these providers will work alongside CIHA and the Tribe to expand access to care. In many cases, services will be brought directly into Cherokee, ensuring that individuals and families can receive support closer to home and in a way that reflects the needs and values of the community.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of caring for our whole selves: mind, body, and spirit.
Native communities continue to face disproportionate mental health challenges connected to historical trauma, grief, loss, and barriers to care. At the same time, culture, language, community, and connection remain powerful sources of healing and resilience.
Mental health support is not only for moments of crisis. It is also about maintaining wellness, building healthy relationships, learning coping skills, and creating space to heal and grow. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Analenisgi is committed to walking alongside individuals and families with compassionate, culturally grounded care and support.
You matter. Your story matters. Your wellness matters.
