Here’s some reasons you’re struggling with tape ins ⤵️
• You’re working with brands that rely on adhesive to hold their tape wefts together. During removal, when alcohol is introduced, that adhesive begins to break down creating a sticky, messy residue that makes the process more difficult and less clean. We machine stitch our tape wefts to prevent that.
•Your sections are too thick. Tape wefts works by adhering two tapes together. Too much hair in a section can prevent the two tape wefts to adhere together. You want a section that’s thin enough to still see the tape wefts through it. This is why we recommend installing my placing the top tape wefts first. The tape will pick up the correct amount of hair, leaving little room for error.
• You may be incorrectly aligning the top and bottom tape wefts, leaving part of the adhesive exposed. This can cause discomfort for your client and lead to multiple maintenance issues. Slow down during placement and ensure a precise, seamless line-up for the best hold and most comfortable result. I recommend using a velcro strip to keep your installs clean and precise.
• You may not be using the Tape Pressing Tool to fully seal the wefts. Skipping this step can leave air bubbles between the tapes, allowing oils to seep in and break down the adhesive over time. Always press firmly to ensure a flat, airtight bond for maximum longevity.
