When I first learned that Aesthetic’s Skin & Acne Care by Jodi had been nominated for Community Votes Chesapeake 2026, I believed it was in six categories. To discover that my business was actually recognized in nine categories—receiving eight Platinum awards and one Gold award—has left me completely humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude.

These nine Community Votes awards may have my business name on them, but they were made possible by all of you. Opening this clinic required more than hard work. It required me to trust the process, take chances, and learn to believe in myself, even during the moments when doubt felt louder than confidence.

These awards represent individual people who intentionally chose my business, trusted my work, and believed that the care I provide was worthy of recognition.

To every client who has trusted me with your skin, referred someone you love, purchased products, shared a post, left a review, encouraged me, or casting your vote—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Think your foundation’s SPF has you covered? 😬
If makeup is your only SPF… we need to talk.

Even if your foundation says SPF 18 (or 30!), most people don’t apply nearly enough to get that protection and not reapplying it every 2 hours.

✨ 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗣𝗙 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀—𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲.
Start with a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen, then layer your makeup on top.

Skipping it, or relying on makeup alone, leaves your skin vulnerable.

To maximize your SPF protection:

✨Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure

✨Reapply every 2 hours

✨Reapply after swimming or sweating

✨Don’t forget commonly missed areas like ears, neck, chest, and hands

✨Pair sunscreen with hats and sunglasses for extra protection

Consistent daily SPF use can help reduce signs of premature aging and support healthier-looking skin long-term.

Appointment Policy Reminder

I truly value every client who trusts me with their skin, and I am so grateful for the support you continue to show my small business.

Every appointment on my schedule is reserved specifically for one client. When an appointment is canceled at the last minute or missed without notice, that time is often unable to be filled and directly impacts my ability to continue providing the personalized care and availability my clients deserve.

As a reminder:

• At least 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Appointments changed with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a $50 late cancellation fee.
• Missed appointments and no-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service or treatment.
• Beginning August 1st 2026, a valid credit card on file will be required for all appointments.

Appointment reminders are sent by both text and email beginning 48 hours before your scheduled visit. These reminders provide time to cancel or reschedule without penalty.

I completely understand that life happens, and I will always lead with compassion when true emergencies arise. At the same time, these policies must be applied consistently so I can protect the time reserved for each client and continue running a sustainable small business.
