Just your daily reminder to use your sunscreen! This famous photo of a truck driver shows what happens when your face isn’t protected for years, and the extra damage is obvious on the side by the window. UVB are the rays that burn, and UVA rays are those responsible for aging- just remember the last letter. UVB rays don’t generally travel through glass, but UVA rays do. A sunscreen that isn’t broad spectrum won’t stop UVA rays, so always use a broad spectrum formula with lots pluses (+) on the bottle. Another popular myth is that sunscreens over 50 don’t protect any better, when actually they stop more than one a half times more than spf 30. Use the highest spf you will wear daily, if you don’t like it you won’t use it! Sunscreen sticks are fantastic and keep in your bag for applying after a few hours. I have stopped using most US sunscreens in lieu of their superior counterparts in Korea, Japan and Australia. They are cheaper, use new better filters not available here, protect more thoroughly and longer, and they feel so light and amazing on the skin! I’ll add some of my favorites below. If you’re buying from Amazon, just be sure it’s a verified seller- China will knock off anything that will make them money, and they aren’t safe.

Skincare appointments can be individual private lessons, or with a loved one or as a large group! Individual appointments are incredibly in depth and customized for your goals and skin. We will go over your history and create a unique regimen just for you. Group skin nights such as wine and snack parties are not only fun, you’ll gain knowledge you can really use! We will find the products that work best for your skin, budget and chosen ease of use. Anti aging, oily skin, dry, sensitive and everything in between, you’ll finally feel like you have things under control. Regular at home skincare will make the lions share of your change, and I am always available to answer my clients needs and questions.

Treatments
I have several treatment options that are both safe and amazing, these are decided on a case by case basis and are something I will gift to you if we feel you’d benefit from them. You’ll be charged for your consultations only, and we will work together to get you your best results. Makeup is so fun, but it can also be daunting to find products that work for your skin and then learn how to use them. Whatever your goal is, or you’d like to learn, we’ll get you there and keep your time and budget on point. Oily skin that melts away your makeup? You’ll get products that calm your skin and keep them on your face, and secrets used by makeup artists to make the products work even better. Makeup for aging skin? You’ll learn both skincare prep and the best products to make your makeup sit beautifully on your stunning face.

Mother, daughter appointments are a great answer when your teen wants to experiment with makeup, but mom doesn’t want her to wear too much. Your daughter will see you supporting her choices, and yet she will learn less is more and how to make her beautiful face the star of the show- not her makeup. Its also a great time for mom or grandma to learn some new tricks to freshen up their look. It’s a great bonding time, and ladies of all generations will be thankful to have spent the time together with their loved ones.

Want a group ladies class about work appropriate makeup? How to feel confident and put together without “too much”? Or, would you love an excuse to dress up and go all out? Plan a themed class! Face Time Appointments
Available for makeup or skincare. The next best thing to being there in person, we will find the best products and application techniques to reach your goals at home! Finding the right products and consistently using them is the answer to reach your goals, and we can do it online. We will go over your history, your skin conditions and type, and we can also add on custom sample package to send to you if you choose. I’ll show you the best places to buy real products, and how you can save buying online. While it’s great to meet in person, I was able to “age backwards” by researching and ordering my own routine online.
I’ve tried and studied endless products and use that knowledge to help you choose, and I will be there to help if you have any questions. Don’t be afraid of online appointments, I was able to fix my own skin by online study and ordering from home!

Summer sun warning:
Phytophotodermatitis.

‘Tis the season for a nasty burn/rash called phytophotodermatitis. Basically, plants that cause a nasty reaction in the sun, citrus is common in particular limes! Always wash your hands after squeezing limes and going in the sun. Outdoor restaurants is where I have seen it the most, enjoy your margaritas safely, and ALWAYS wear sunscreen! 😘

A form of plant dermatitis, is a skin reaction that occurs after natural photosensitising chemicals (furanocoumarins) present within plant sap and fruits, become smeared onto the skin, and there is subsequent exposure to sunlight.
