I recommend building up a routine that consists of a cleanser, toner, vitamin c serum, another serum based off your concerns & skin type, eye cream, retinol, moisturizer & sunscreen. You don’t have to buy all these products in one day! I actually recommend slowly adding in a new product so that your skin & wallet aren’t overwhelmed!

Important things you should discuss with your Esthetician about & why!

•It’s always helpful to know what products you’re currently using at home because your routine directly affects how your skin might respond to certain treatments. We can discuss what your skin concerns are & implement better products for you to use in your routine to reach your goals.

•If you are pregnant or breastfeeding some professional treatments & skincare ingredients may not be appropriate & can cause contradictions. You can absolutely still receive facials but some ingredients like retinoids & acids will just need to be avoided.

•If you’re on any new medications it’s important to make your Esti aware because some medications can increase skin sensitivity or make the skin more prone to irritation. They can also make the skin more fragile & change whether waxing, exfoliation, or certain treatments are appropriate.

•Botox or filler can migrate if massaged or manipulated with too much pressure too soon after getting injected. Always get your facials before you get any filler or tox! Wait atleast 2 weeks after getting any injections before you get a facial just to be safe since it can take up to 2 weeks to fully settle.

•If you have a special event or trip planned let me know so we can schedule your appointments accordingly & make sure we are selecting the best treatment for you.

•If you recently got a lot of sun on your face it’s best to post-pone any facial treatments until any redness or sensitivity goes away. Having a sunburn results in sun damage making it not ideal to receive any exfoliating facial treatments.

•If you’ve been sick or are currently sick please let me know out of courtesy so we can decide if we need to reschedule or if I can just wear a mask.

Receiving dermaplane with your facial or peel makes the biggest difference when it comes to your results IYKYK! 🗣️

Dermaplaning uses a medical grade surgical steel scalpel blade & gently scrapes the top layer of your skin. This exfoliates your skin, removing dead skin cells & buildup! During this process your vellus hair (peach fuzz) also comes off leaving you with the smoothest & softest skin! 💎

Not only does dermaplane remove all hair & dead skin, but it also preps your skin for the facial treatment which can include masks, an enzyme, or chemical peel. These treatments will pe*****te the layers of your skin more effectively giving you way better results than just the treatment alone✨

Your skincare products you use at home will also work better since there is no barrier of hair & dead skin blocking it anymore! To maintain these results, exfoliate twice a week at home. Make sure not to exfoliate for atleast 5 days before & after your facial appointment. Same with retinol or trentinoin! Also, don’t forget to wear & reapply spf to keep your skin from premature aging from sun damage! 🧴

One of the most loved benefits of dermaplaning is how gorgeous your makeup will look after! 💄 Removing all the peach fuzz & dead skin allows your makeup to glide on smooth as butter! 🧈 Receiving a dermaplane facial before any special events is a MUST 🙌🏼
