Connie's Hair Design

So today is the end of an era. I walked out of Connie’s Hair Design for the last time today.😢
I’ve worked there for 22 years, 15 of those years working for Connie Price. 7 years ago I bought the salon from her and have loved every minute of it!
Those years have been the best ever for me and I have been blessed to have spent all of them working side by side with some of my best friends, Lisa Keppler, Connie Price and Patty Garbo (whoever said girls can’t get along working together)!!!!!
We shared a lot of love, laughter and craziness in that salon.
What a fun place we created in all those years. I can’t count how many times clients would come in and say they heard all of our shenanigans from the parking lot.(Thank goodness we had the wonderful Sisters of Notre Dame as clients...they were always saying prayers for us...love and miss all of you ladies)😘
We couldn’t have had that much fun without our awesome clients, who were the biggest part of all those shenanigans and craziness.
So many long time clients. I wish I could name you all. We watched your kids grow up (as you have watched our families grow). We were privileged to give them their first haircuts, styled their hair for First Communions, Picture day, Junior High Dances,Prom, Wedding Day etc. Then the cycle started again as they started to have children and brought them to Connie’s Hair Design. How honored we were!!
Our clients were the absolute best. We laughed together (so many times till our stomachs hurt or ran to the bathroom before we peed our pants), cried together, (never enough tissue), gave advice (even though you didn’t want to hear it), got advice (even though we didn’t want to hear it). 😂 😂. You know we always thought of you as family and loved being a part of your family. This is the hardest part for me, not seeing you all on a regular basis, I had some great conversations and learned so much from you.
We lost some dear clients and friends along the way and they are never far from our minds, we talked about them often and are so grateful to have had them in our lives. You were all there for Connie, Lisa and I when we lost our dearest Patty. We miss her everyday (our turquoise angel 🌈). Your kindness constant concern and prayers for her really helped us get through that difficult time.
Thankfully the Salon has been sold and the new tenant wanted all the furniture and fixtures to stay! So happy not to have to move all that stuff out.
Today my husband took down the neon Connies Hair Design Sign (Mark Wasserman - we always think about you when we wanted to open one of those windows for circulation only to hear Connie yell
“Don’t open those windows, “ you’ll break the sign” 😂😂. So we suffered in silence in the heat)🥵
So I guess that means “The End”
