I had a guest in that had extensions done elsewhere and I wanted to show what an unhealthy extension install looks like. Far less than half of this is a normal shed cycle.

This guest came in hoping to come to someone closer to her but also was concerned about a major amount of breakage she was seeing on her sides. The previous stylist refused to look at her hair and says what she was seeing was normal. I looked over the install and actually the install was very clean and stitched very nice BUT the amount of hair in the row was over the top too much hair.

The weight from the weft caused excessive breakage that now we are going to have to heal. Not only was there too much hair on the row but the amount of hair did not match the density of this guests natural hair, which was causing a mullet like look.

We got her all fixed up and now completely blended but this is something everyone with extensions should see, to know that shed is normal, but excessive clumps is extremely abnormal.

I show you this to be sure you do your research. Shop around, and don’t go to someone just because they are doing a special deal. Extension are meant to be a healthy journey NOT a journey of repair.

Growth starts beneath the surface. You can’t force a flower to bloom overnight, and healthy hair works the same way. It takes patience, nourishment, consistency, and the right care to create something beautiful.

And color? That’s the bloom. 🌸
Some shades are soft and natural, others bold and vibrant, but every color tells its own story. Brunettes feel earthy and grounded, blondes feel sunlit and bright, coppers feel warm like wildflowers in golden hour.

But just like flowers, hair can begin to fade when it isn’t cared for. Flowers dry out without water and sunlight. Hair loses its softness, strength, and shine without nourishment, maintenance, and protection. Neglect shows eventually in both.

The beautiful thing though? Neither are beyond saving with the right care. 🌿 Sometimes all it takes is attention, patience, and a healthy environment to bring something back to life again.

No two flowers bloom the same, and no two heads of hair do either, and honestly, that’s the beauty of it all. ✨

Some people come into your life as clients and somehow become so much more. 🤍

Rhomi came into my life when she was new to the area and found me as her stylist, but from the very beginning, she felt like an instant friend. Over the years, she became one of my favorite people to have in my chair. Fun, loyal, supportive, and someone who truly believed in me through every season.

When we moved locations, she poured so much vision and inspiration into my space, and I will forever be grateful for the love she gave not only to me, but to my dreams too.

No matter the distance, she will always hold a special piece of my heart. ✨
