Sun. Heat. Chlorine. Salt water. They may be great for your summer adventures, but they can be brutal on your hair.

Here are a few simple ways to keep your hair healthy and your color looking fresh all season long:

💧 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and treat your hair to a deep conditioning mask once a week.

🧴 Protect before you swim. Wet your hair with clean water first, then apply a leave-in conditioner. Hair acts like a sponge—if it's already full of fresh water, it'll absorb less chlorine or salt water.

🚿 Rinse immediately after swimming. The longer chlorine or salt sits on your hair, the more damage it can do.

🧢 Cover up. A cute hat isn't just a fashion statement—it helps protect your scalp and shields your color from the sun's UV rays.

🌡️ Go easy on the heat styling. Your hair is already battling summer heat. Give it a break whenever you can.

Three years.

Three years of hair transformations, questionable life decisions (mostly bangs... but not always 😏), caffeine, color formulas scribbled on random pieces of paper, and somehow keeping the wheels on this crazy little salon.

There have been ups. Downs. Sideways movements, and The occasional accidental waterboarding🤣🤣. Clients who became family. A few lessons learned the hard way. A whole lot of laughs. And enough foils to wrap the state of Wyoming.

Every single appointment, referral, review, share, and conversation helped build Twisted Beauty into what it is today.
