Starting the year off strong! 💪🏾
My girls have been on top of their trims and treatments, and even surprise me with big cuts! Y’all make me so proud 🥹
Now I want a bob 🙄🤦🏼♂️🫠
We took the salon to the street! In the heat! In the wind! In the rain! And still did what we came to do! 💪🏾
OUR GIRL: Beauty, brains and bowling skills! A Lane Tech senior with a 4.2 GPA. She’s an amazing big sister with a big heart, an ear for music, and sense of style! Congratulations and good luck on your last year of high school! 🫶🏽🥳
OUR VILLAGE: S/O to everyone that came to the “salon” and hung out! It really felt like we were in the shop just having a good time! To my Blewprint family members, thank you for your donations and support! It’s a blessing to be a blessing! 🫶🏽💙
OUR WESTSIDE-OWBP: I’m usually running around like a chicken with its head cut off making sure everything was running smoothly. This was my first year with a vendor tent, and things still went off without a hitch! The various options for food, the performances, the vendors, the giveaways, the all out love for the kids! The team that is OWBP is truly unmatched!💪🏾Year six in the books 🧱🎉
MY MAN: The man never sat down. NEVER. I wouldn’t be able to do a portion of what I do without his love and support! It’s one thing to have a man, but a partner that supports your chaos, priceless!
Being home reminds me: to whom much is given, much is required. Always grateful to be able to give back! 🫶🏽💙☺️

Juneteenth has always felt like a strange reason to celebrate. Is it even a celebration? Should you say Happy Juneteenth? Should I work on Juneteenth. It all feels so performative.
Then I think about my grandmother’s grandmother and my grandfather’s grandfather who would have been proud of all that we’ve accomplished.
So today I’m celebrating for my ancestors, because I’m sure I’m their wildest dream! Happy Juneteenth black people!
