The feedback we’ve received on our imagery and overall branding has been overwhelming and I’m so grateful. There is so much that goes into creating a campaign like this that no one ever sees.

Finding 15 incredible women to represent all 15 of our shades was quite the task. Coordinating two full shoot days. Four hairstylists, four makeup artists, wardrobe, production, photography, video, and countless moving pieces in between.

I can honestly say I’ve never planned anything this difficult in my life, but I also couldn’t believe how smoothly those two days came together. Every person showed up with so much talent, patience, care and belief in what we were creating. No ego, just everyone working incredibly hard toward the same vision.

To our entire creative team and every one of our beautiful models: thank you for trusting me, giving this everything you had and helping bring ruti ruti™ to life in a way that was even better than I imagined. I will never forget those two days or the people who made them possible. So deeply grateful for every single one of you. 🤎

Still trying to take in this weekend🤎

Saturday night we celebrated ruti ruti™️ with some of the people who have supported me along the way, and yesterday we opened our doors for our very first pop-up where we color matched, shopped, danced and ate! Seeing this thing I’ve worked on for so long finally out in the world was honestly surreal.

I genuinely had NO idea what went into building a brand when I started this 😂 to say it has been the most interesting, challenging, overwhelming journey is an understatement. I always wondered why people would say “it took years”..and over 3 years later here we are.

The last 3 years have been so much trial and error. So many samples. So many things going wrong. So many late-night messages with people overseas because of the time difference. So many “no’s.” Trying every way possible to figure out how to create this product so precisely in bulk orders and convince manufacturers it is possible. So many moments where I was like… what have I gotten myself into?

But I just kept coming back to the same thing..I’ve worked with extensions for basically my entire career, and I knew there had to be a better way. I actually wore clip ins at my high school graduation in 2008 that were the exact same as they are sold now. I was so tired of cutting, layering and basically rebuilding clip ins every single time just to make them look natural. I wanted to change what the standard has been for so many years.

And somehow during all of this I also had two babies 😂

So there were pregnancies, newborns, work, clients, meetings, samples showing up at my house, calls at night, mistakes, starting over, and honestly just figuring everything out as I went.

There is SO much that goes into creating something from literally nothing. Things I never even knew existed or that I would ever have to think about.

Looking back at these photos is actually crazy because this has been such a huge part of my life for the last 3 years and feels like it’s only the beginning of what I have planned for this brand.

I’m so proud I didn’t give up on it. I hope this inspires you to keep going and know that you can make this life exactly how you want it to be.
