Hi!
I’m Kristin and I own STRANDED. I’m coming up on being a salon owner for 10 years!
I’d love to tell you it was all roses- but that wouldn’t be the truth. In fact, just a little under 6 months ago, I was seriously considering shutting it down.
But I have done a deep dive into the WHY behind all of this, and I was reminded that it has been bigger than me all along.
I remembered how I struggled for years to find a quality salon I was proud to work at, and I just felt like it must not exist.
(Fun fact: 3 of the 4 salons I worked at in Chicago are now closed!)
My time behind the chair and experiences have been invaluable in guiding me to create a space for stylists to build their dream careers. STRANDED is by the hairstylist, for the hairstylist and it always will be. ♥️
