Khrissy has some of the best therapists ever! From early intervention, school and her home hospital, I can truly say her therapists have been more like family than anything else. Khrissy was born at 24 weeks and required private nursing and constant one on one therapy for the first 6 years of her life. Khrissy continues to receive OT, SPEECH, DT, and a SOCIAL WORKER. However, for those first 6 years, if it wasn't for her therapists, Khrissy would still be nonverbal due to her vocal chord paralysis and would still have a feeding tube and use a wheel chair. I can honestly say the therapists did an amazing job helping my baby to be functional. Khrissy also suffered a few traumatic events on top of having behavioral issues, and her current therapists at school and her one-on-one from her home hospital totally " get" Khrissy. All three of them communicate to give "Khrissy" the best plan of care.
