We as a people dedicate ourselves to the principles on which have been enshrined in our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. But our liberties have constantly been tested throughout our American history, from the abolishing of slavery to women's suffrage, from Civil rights to legalizing gay marriage, and therefore the challenge and struggle for a more perfect union is as challenging today as ever to continue to fight the forces of oppression. Though it has not been easy, history has proven that we have moved in the right direction, but it has been when we have acted as a unified people that we have moved towards the light. Let us honor our beloved country and our ancestors and not take for granted our liberties that they fought for and try to make America more true to the principles of which make up its foundation. It is our highest hopes that we can walk amongst each other with respect for each other's rights to be free and have finally achieved true justice for all! ✨🙏🏼✨

It was first announced to be honored by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. It is acknowledged at this particular date annually to honor the United Nations General Assembly for declaring the human rights universally. Human rights day was officially established in the meeting of United Nations General Assembly on 4th of December in 1950.

In these trying and turbulent times in our great country but also around the world, we will be individually tested to meet unpredictable challenges.. and it is an opportunity for each of us rise to meet each challenge with Humility, Civility, Tolerance, Patience, Compassion, and Forgiveness. 🇺🇸 Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

Today, November 11 is Veterans Day in the United States. It's a day where we take time to thank our courageous service-women and men who have honorably served, or are currently serving, in a branch of the U.S. military. Veterans Day is the anniversary of the signing of the World War I armistice, which ended the hostilities between the United States and other Allied nations with Germany in 1918. Unlike Memorial Day, which honors those who died in active military service, Veterans Day is a day that honors all veterans, living and passed. Veterans Day was started by President Woodrow Wilson in 1918 but it wasn't adopted by Congress until 1926. Veterans Day was originally known as Armistice Day until becoming Veterans Day in 1954. It is our duty as Americans who benefit from their sacrifices to pay homage and respect in the honor of our great Veterans.
