Our Story

A lot of people don't remember their kindergarten graduation but it's where it all started for me. I remember it clearly before we left for graduation I made my dad change what he was wearing because I didn't like it, what 5 year old cares that much about what their dad is wearing. At graduation everyone was assigned a job and we had get up in front of everyone and tell them what we were going to be when we grow up. My assigned job was a beautician. It must have been fate!

​My love for fashion and hair carried on through my life. I graduated from Dominican University with a degree in fashion design. After a few years of being out of college I still wanted to be a hairstylist. I went to cosmetology school at an Aveda Institute and the rest is history. I've been in the industry for 12 years and counting. I love making people look and feel beautiful. I specialize in balayage, highlighting, special occasion hair and haircuts that fit your personal style.

When I decided to open my own salon suite it was a dream come true and I couldn't wait for my new adventure to begin. When it came to naming it I wanted the name to represent my family and myself. Laidir means strong in Gaelic, my mom's maiden name is Strong. If you know me you know how much my family means to me and I wouldn't be where I am today without my families love and support. My salon is where I leave my mark on the world with making people look and feel beautiful. I want my clients to feel beautifully strong every time they leave.
