What can seven tape in deluxe extensions do for you?
Well one single deluxe extension is the same amount of grams as two original tape ins. Which means half the amount of install for the same amount of hair! I sandwiched these with single sided tapes.
You can also sandwich with one original tape in as well.
Are you wondering why else you'd choose a deluxe tape in? The hair is attached all the way to the top of the extension, leaving no tape base showing if your hair splits and exposed the extension!
You really only need these in finer hair or if your extensions are placed high on your head, when your extensions are more easily possibly seen. So amazing!
Chop Chop
Four inches off her length and much needed layers using my feather razor. Why a razor? Gives the best, instant, soft texture. Removing weight to create even more movement is incredibly easy while establishing a perimeter and layers. Meaning less detail work at the end of styling!

Pictured on top- extensions exposed to AVOBENZONE sunscreen
Pictured on bottom- same extensions, not exposed to AVOBENZONE sunscreen
Exposure to AVOBENZONE will turn your extensions orange or peach toned. I have seen methods to take these tones out, but I have not been successful without compromising the extensions.
Please make sure to read your labels! Even your face lotions and your kids sunscreens. Overspray can affect your extensions as well. Be safe out there!

Extensions should have the ability to be styled both straight and curly. Factors that need to be addressed in order for the perfect blend...
First is color matching- you'd think matching perfectly to your hair is important, right? Well not necessarily! As long as the tone matches, you can choose a color or color combo slightly lighter than your hair. I was taught to match mid shaft to ends, which is typically a good rule to follow, but naturally your ends are progressively lighter. Why? Sun exposure is the main reason! The longer your hair is on your head, the more sun it has been exposed to. Your hair grows on average 6" a year. So if you have hair that is 18" long, that is potentially three summers that it's lived through! So choose a color that matches perfectly or add a pop of lightness!
Second is placement. Seeing the direction your hair falls, making sure the extensions will follow if your hair moves strongly forward or straight down. You can change the way tape in extensions fall with slight directional placements. And also making sure they are layered correctly. This is very important. No one wants a tail or chunks!
Thirdly, this one is suuuper important...the haircut! Or just some simple blending with a detail cut. Connecting any disconnection between the natural hair and extensions. Anyway the hair may fall. Pushed forward, pushed back. You get my point. Be careful though! Once you cut, it won't grow back! If you're new to blending extensions, take it slow. Trim a tiny bit, step back and look. Then trim some more.
