Pulled out the Blonde Solutions for this one ⚛️

I see this client 2-3 times a year so to ensure a soft grow out for low maintenance always root smudge and I’ll over tone her.

Smudge 6ab 7n 7vb

Ends 10vv 10p 10ag splash of 7vb for a little extra pigment

How does she maintain her color at home from getting brassy ⬇️

• Purple Shampoo & Conditioner 🚿
• little to no hot tool use at home 🔥

✨ Using to high of a temperature on heating tools will cause your blonde to become brassy 🔶

There are SO MANY factors.. however these are the top most common that I have seen throughout the past 10 years of being behind the chair

✨ HARD WATER- hard water contains many minerals & metals including calcium, copper, aluminum, magnesium and IRON… Iron specifically acts as an oxidizer causing orange & red tones to become exposed as well as mineral build up 🤮
If you have hard water I encourage you to invest in a water softening shower head- this has SAVED so many of my guests’ blonde

✨ Heat settings are TOO hot… have you ever put a 400 degree flat iron on a piece of white paper? It turns YELLOW..
Hair reacts the same way! Blondes should never be using heat over 280 and always pair with a thermal protectant!

✨Sulfate/Parabens are the BANE of my existence! I like to compare this to eating a dollar menu burger vs a loaded salad. The burger is cheaper but keeps you full for less time (Aka “filler food”) the salad is a bit pricer but keeps you full longer because you are getting all of the nutrients you need!
Most over the counter/ some professional quality (believe it or not) shampoos are packed with filler aka sulfates & parabens.. these are full of silicone & alcohol. Over time our hair may look shiny (silicone/wax build up) but the alcohol content dries our hair out & causes premature fading.. exposing underlying raw lift which is warm!

✨ I hate to say this… but- chances are you may not have been lifted light enough! Let’s face it… ALL undertones are warm & seeing a bit of yellow after 6 or more weeks is completely normal
However… if you are seeing yellow or orange prematurely & following all of the recommended hair care chances are your stylist did not lift you light enough or used the wrong toner on you- it is INCREDIBLY important your stylist communicates openly with expectations Vs. reality. The harsh truth is most blonde guests take multiple sessions to achieve a healthy platinum.. I have seen this scenario way too often 😭
