The Kiddo had (what she calls) “the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me” happen last night.
These guys were gracious, humble and so very sweet - they took the time to ask about her volleyball games, give her sports advice and just pal around for a few minutes - even made a video of a TikTok dance with her.
It was a great day seeing her and her team kill it on the court (2-0 with 3 more games today before bracket play tomorrow) watch her pray 🙏🏻 for and check on an injured player from the opposing team and then get to experience this.

Almost interrupted a meeting of the “Last Bite Club.”

I am thrilled to introduce the world to “Poison Ivy” (aka Ivy). “Poison Ivy” (named by Claire) because Chad said we already had a Hero malinois, so this one should be named after a villain.

We got approved as adopters with the American Belgian Malinois Rescue shortly after Kaiser passed away so that we were able to say yes if and when the perfect situation arose. That situation happened about 2 weeks ago.

We don’t know much about her early life other than she and her siblings were found in a dumpster behind a warehouse in Atlanta, GA. Many suffering from injuries (her sister’s eye injury was so severe it needed removed, Ivy has a bump on her head from ??, hair missing, possible chemical burns on their body), it’s hard to tell what horrors they experienced before they were rescued.

She, her brother and one sister made the journey from FL and AL all the way to KY and OH this weekend. Our first experience with a rescue transport and won’t be our last. So thankful for the volunteers who had no stake in the “game” but were willing to give up their time and gas to help these pups gets to their forever homes. A huge “Thank You” to the coordinators and foster moms who give their time and re-arrange their lives to help these pups/dogs.

CONFESSION: I haven’t been using my regimen for the last 6 months or so. 😳🫣🤫 I wanted to get a solid perspective on our newer product (RF Total Serum).

Here’s what I found:
1. Before and After pics are crucial. I always struggle with lighting, my expressions, etc. I wish I had taken before pics!!! They are so important to notice small differences (that really add up over time).
2. My skin looks and feels better than before. It looks more even-toned, brighter and I don’t hesitate to leave the house with a naked face at all now.
3. I’m lazy. After so long of not using my regimen consistently, it’s hard to get back into the groove again (one step vs. 3 or 4). Granted, I still need a cleanser and spf (AM only), but it’s less steps and on nights when I just want to fall into bed it’s perfect.
4. This is my new FAVORITE. I like it even better than Lash Boost (and that’s saying something BIG)!
5. A nice perk: in an effort to increase our environmental sustainability, this product is created so you can keep the glass outer case and only have to buy refills (can anyone say “savings?!” Yay!).

Who would’ve thought all those years ago - when you were in the Children’s NICU for your first three weeks, and I sometimes wondered if you would ever even be able to come home - that you would be standing on that stage today giving a valedictory speech to your graduating class.
Anyone who knows you is not an all surprised that you are successful. You have the power, brains, and kind heart to do anything you wish in this world. It’s also because of those things that I know you will choose to do something amazing that helps others.

Congratulations Megan, and the rest of the UHS class of 2022. You have been a special group since day one that has stuck together, supported one another, pushed one another to be better and I know you will be lifelong friends. I cannot wait to see what you all accomplish.

Have to give a shout out to for the awesome service!! We - like MANY others I hear - had a pretty stressful week/dealings with the alterations lady this year. We’ve always been happy with our experiences with the store (their selection and service), but they definitely went for us this year. We were stressed (not getting the dress back until the day before the dance, and having it not right with adjustments still needing made), but I know they were hearing it from all angles. They stepped up and made it right when they didn’t have to. PROM 2022 was unforgettable in itself, but their help made what could have been a disaster into a perfect weekend. Another reason to
