Have you even wondered what this little symbol on the back of your bottles means?

The PAO symbol or Period After Opening tells you how many months after opening a product that it'll retain its highest quality.

The PAO is super important for things with active ingredients like skin care and makeup.

Hair products tend to have a bit more longevity but can be greatly effected by exposure to air, moisture and light.

If you're ever unsure check for:

🔎 Separation
🔎Cloudiness or discoloration

And when in doubt, sniff it out! 🤢

The importance of the veil.

What's the veil you ask?

It's the section of hair at the back, top of your head.

It's an often neglected but super important section of hair.

We all know that the best way to apply hair product to long, thick hair is by sectioning it.

(Sectioning helps ensure that your curls are evenly coated and results in more uniform curl formation!)

Keep in mind that for most, curly hair stays where its put.

Remember to reposition your curls to where you want them to live.

THAT is where the veil comes in.

Taking a minute to ensure the veil section is laying back & down will prevent funky partings and have your curls falling into a nice cascade!

Great things happen when you embrace your natural texture.

A little scrunch here, a little curl there, a spritz & shake and you're all set.

Well...maybe not that easy but using your natural texture as a starting point is a great way to cut down styling time!

Low contrast highlights are different than traditional highlights because they're only lightened 2-3 shades lighter than the base color.

They provide "barely there" contrast for a subtle, sun-kissed touch.

I love that they're low maintenance, with just a kick of dimension.

Even if you air dry, setting a cast first will help seal moisture in for longer lasting, hydrated curls.
