Blended color. Let’s talk about it! 🎨✨

A seamless blend isn’t an accident. It’s all about placement, technique, and the LITTLE details that make a BIG difference!

Here are 5 tricks I’ve learned along the way! 👇

🤎 1. ROOTS FIRST. ALWAYS.
Applying root color first gives me a roadmap! I know EXACTLY where my blend will begin without worrying about gaps between foils or missed spots.

And PLEASE, don’t be afraid to brush that color down! It helps diffuse the transition!

🎨 2. LEAVE ROOM TO BLEND.
I leave about ½–1” between my root color and lightener. This gives me room to soften the transition, especially when working with ashy tones or dramatic level differences.

✨ 3. THE MUSH METHOD.
Yep. MUSH. After rinsing the lightener from mids and ends, I add a little water to the roots and gently mush the color through that transition zone.

The goal? Slightly dilute the root pigment and softly marry the dark to the light. Think blurred, NOT harsh!

🧴 4. MULTITASK!
While the mush processes, mix your toner! Not toning? Customize a Davines Naturaltech Tailoring treatment instead!

✌️ 5. THE PEACE SIGN TRICK.
For tone-on-tone color, root-to-end refreshes, or color-only ombré, place two fingers where your colors meet and gently move them back and forth. This helps soften that line!
