Thank you for checking out our new, organic whipped Body Butters. This Organic Blend of Butters is the result of skin issues I suffered from after entering the lovely perimenopausal stage of life. Ugh! I know some of you can relate. "Getting older ain't for the faint of heart!" I won't complain about my first world problems, though, because I know it could be worse.

Washed with Butter specializes in handmade Body Butters and skincare items that are meant to protect, heal, nourish and moisturize aging and/or dry skin.

Hi, my name is Laverne and I started making these Body Butters for myself at first. I began to notice changes in my skin as I aged. Up to the time that I approached the "change" or perimenopause, I had taken my clear skin for granted. When hyperpigmentation and dry patches showed up, I looked for a way to stop or reverse some of the damage that had occurred naturally or through neglect. Honestly, my skin could no longer tolerate store bought items with harsh ingredients that I didn't recognize and couldn't pronounce. Our Body Butters are the result of taking control over what we put on our faces and bodies.

After using my products, my sister, Darlene, started working with me to build this business. That was an answered prayer. My Butters worked so well for her that they are all she uses to soothe her psoriasis and eczema flare-ups. They have help my husband dry, scaly feet due to nerve damage from back surgery. Our daughter also uses them to soften the hard plague that would crust over and bleed when scraped as a result of her psoriasis, as well. Is this a cure? Not at all, but these butters have definitely helped soothe the flare-ups.

Once we started sharing our Body Butters with friends, neighbors and co-workers, we soon realized their popularity. People wanted to purchase larger sizes and that was an amazing and humbling thing. Like most, my family included, they had also primarily used store bought lotions. Now, we are totally "weaned" and are building a customer base that only uses Washed with Butter products exclusively.

You will see a change in your skin just like we've seen and our current customers have seen. I am still working on the hyperpigmentation issues, but I refuse to use harsh whitening creams that can create more damage. Overall, though, our skin is healthier than its ever been. We're never going back to mass produced skin care products with ingredients we can't pronounce.

These Body Butters are made in small batches, so you receive fresh products. They are safe for most skin types and won't clog your pores, even though they are oils and butters. I would never include any ingredients in these products that I wouldn't allow my own family/village to use, and that's a promise.
