Some need to know info about permanent makeup!

I get a lot of messages from potential clients saying they need a touch up. Unless you came to me in the first place, it’s not a touch up, it’s likely a correction. I will probably have to color correct your brows and work on your shape. Please don’t get offended when I say it isn’t a touch up but that’s just how it the industry works.

If you come to me wanting darker brows and it won’t look right, or we aren’t on the same page with what you want, I will say no. My goal is to make you look and feel your best and trust me I know how to do that. I’m not going to do something that will mess up your beautiful face.

I hate having to tell people this, but unfortunately sometimes this is true. Sometimes brows are too dark, too outside of your natural shape, etc. that the only option is removal. I will not go over brows that I can’t do anything with and that’s what every artist should do.

Permanent makeup is meant to compliment your beautiful features, not be overbearing. For instance, your brows shouldn’t be the main focus, your eyes should be. Your brows are meant to frame your eyes. Eyeliner shouldn’t be the main focus, your eyes should be. I’ll never do permanent makeup that draws focus away from your features, only that enhances them.

Sometimes you want the liner just a SMIDGE thicker! I’m happy to oblige as long as it’s not anything crazy and fits the eye. In this case, it worked with my client’s eye and made the entire look more dramatic, but in a good way!
