My client came to me wearing another method of extensions that just weren’t the right fit for her.

Her install looked great! And her color blend was beautiful already! Her previous stylist did a beautiful job, we just wanted to give her something that was more comfortable for her.

We didn’t change a thing aside from switching her to as well as bringing her from 4 rows down to 2, adjusted her placement and this was our end result!

If you shop on Amazon, stop and read this! I did a little experiment tonight to follow up with my last post. If you haven’t seen it yet, go give it a read… then come back here!

Both of these shampoos *should* be the same exact product. The only difference is the bottle on the left came from the salon (back bar size if your wondering why the bottle is different) and the product on the right was bought off of Amazon, it was even the “Amazon’s choice” listing. I bought it off of Amazon myself and cringed the entire time knowing full well I most likely was getting ripped off. What did I find?

When I opened my Amazon box, the product was sealed in plastic and even had a seal under the cap of the shampoo bottle. I’m not gonna lie, it looked so legit I thought this experiment was going to be a flop and I was going to prove myself wrong.

But I knew from purchasing product through the distributor, Kevin Murphy products don’t come sealed in plastic so that was clue number 1. The next was when I tried to take the seal off. It felt like it had been super glued and was near impossible to peel off. It shouldn’t be that difficult. Next was the look of the product. The Amazon product looked almost like Elmers glue and smelled completely different than the authentic shampoo. The authentic product was much more iridescent and had a different viscosity. Side by side, it was completely evident this was by no means the same product that came from the salon. Kevin Murphy hydrate me shampoo retails for roughly $33. The Amazon product came to a total of $31.95.

When you buy products on Amazon, even when listed as Amazon’s choice, there is a good chance you are buying counterfeit, expired or altered product. You may be saving yourself a few dollars and convenience (in this case I saved a little over $1) but you have absolutely no idea what you are getting in that bottle.

So why did I throw away $30, knowing I was most likely getting ripped off? Because knowledge is power. Amazon might be more convenient but your spending your hard earned money on product that will not give you the same benefit your think you are paying for and could potentially (Cont. in comments) 👇🏻

A little life update for all of my clients and new faces who have reached out to me over the past few weeks to inquire about hair services

In mid August, I had my first baby, a little boy who in my very biased opinion is the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen. I am currently on maternity leave, hence my very very delayed responses to messages (little man knows exactly when I pick up my phone it seems 🙈)

He was quite the surprise but we are very obsessed with him. We also have bought a house and have been doing renovations and are moving at the end of the month! (Yes, we are crazy👶🏼😴🏡) busy busy busy!

For those who are new to my page, I have been doing hair for almost 7 years now. The past year and a half I have been focusing most of my time behind the chair on extensions and color services. I offer which if you haven’t heard of, You have 100% been missing out on! It’s a method that has fully won me over to being the best and healthiest method I’ve found to offer my guests.

I will be returning to the salon next month on a limited schedule to ease into the new routine of returning to work with a newborn. That being said, my books will currently be closed to new clients with the exception of hair Extension guests until the new year.

Today is my last day in the salon before maternity leave. No, I am not due until mid August. I am feeling good! But we have lots going on and lots to do before this boy gets here. We will be working on house renovations & moving all before I am back in the salon by the beginning of October. With covid numbers rising, we also want to keep our family as healthy as possible before baby arrives.

The difference in hair growth that 10 months makes. The left side was the before picture on the day we installed her hair extensions. The right side was yesterday during her tighten appointment right before we sewed her hair back on to her freshly tightened rows.

The second picture (swipe➡️) was her hair 2 years ago right before we cut it to a cute short bob in an effort to get it to grow back out full and healthy.

There is no miracle cure or product for instant healthy, long hair aside from a combination of patience, using quality professional product from a reputable source, and a healthy lifestyle.

Fresh color & and huge CHOP is so exhilarating. We took at least 15/16 inches off this beautiful momma to be! Added some textured layering, freshened her color, added some pops of dimension around her hairline and there you have it! A fresh new style and we are loving it 🤩🤩🤩
