Amy at Phenix - Mason
Amy has over 2 decades in the hair industry and is excited to share her passion with you at her new
I’ve come to the hard decision to close my salon business.
I appreciete all if you for your years of coming to me.
Since the accident back in October I still have no feeling in the tip of that finger, and also have nerve damage.
I’m physically able to still do some services, but not all, and it takes me a longer time to do them.
With that being said it would not be possible for me to stay financially afloat in my career.
I’d suggest you continue to go to Sally Parker, Diana Shelby, or Ashley Smith.
Thank you for your patronage over the years. It’s been my greatest pleasure to serve you.
Sometimes life throws us a curve ball, and we need to readjust and go with it.
It is with a sad heart I say to my clients it’s going to be quite some time yet before I’m able to do hair.
Thank Goodness for people like Sally, Diana, and Ashley taking on your lovely locks.
My finger is healing, but very slowly. The nail has fallen off, and grown about 1/8 of an inch. There is still flesh exposed where the crush impact was.
I’m going to miss seeing all of your smiling faces through the holidays.
In the meantime I’m spending my time learning some new things that will allow me to provide an income for myself.
I will keep you updated as to my progress and when I’m released to do hair again.
I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season.
UPDATE:
My appointment today:
I have almost full range of motion in my finger 😊
The nail still has not fallen off. It is still adhered at the top portion of the finger.
Therefore, it will either fall off on or before December 9th, or my surgeon will give me a nerve block and remove it then at my next appointment. 😢
I miss you all and hope you are doing well.
I know your hair is in great hands.
For those of you that are not aware:
I had a freak accident with my lawnmower bar & it crushed my finger.
Today I went to the orthopedic surgeon for my finger:
He said I had 2 choices : surgery or no surgery.
Either way the nail bed is damaged and the nail will either fall off or be removed during surgery.
The bone that is crushed will heal, but will be somewhat deformed.
The nail could be removed during surgery or it can fall off on its own. He believes it will grow back. With either option I’m unable to do hair for 6-8 weeks.
I’m going to plan to be back in action by December 1st.
* For my clients: rest assured I gotcha covered with the best of the best out there:
