STORY TIME❤️

I went into labor two weeks early with my son .rivera Throughout my entire pregnancy with him, I was working day in and day out behind the chair at a Salon in Colorado Springs, CO. But, on the day that he was born I was obviously unable to show up for work. As I was in the hospital completely enamored with my newborn and sharing the special first hours together as a family, my phone was ringing off the hook...

The salon owner was calling and inquiring as to why I was not there. My husband informed the owner that I had just given birth. I was congratulated and then insisted that someone run the both rent down to the shop right away so that I wouldn't lose my booth.

I knew that this behavior was typical of the salon owner. Still, I had just given birth! The comment infuriated me to no end. When My husband hung up the phone, I decided then and there that I was done with that life. There had to be another way, a better way to operate a business in a harmonious environment that inspired and encouraged success.

This single epiphany changed the trajectory of my life.

Fast forward to now- This picture was taken of Phenix and I at our Phenix Salon Suites Franchise Training a few weeks ago. I am so humbled as I reflect on what it took to be sitting here today next to my namesake of my brand... My dream that became a reality... 329 Locations later!
