We recently celebrated 80 years of Varland Plating with a company event at the Fōwling Warehouse Cincinnati, and it was a great time all around.

Employees and their families joined us for an afternoon of games, friendly competition, and good food and drinks. It was a nice opportunity to spend time together and recognize the people who have helped shape Varland Plating over the years. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun event.

As we celebrate 80 years, here’s a look at the Varland Plating Board of Directors through the years.
Beginning with the original founders, then 2015, and finally this past fall of 2025.
Across generations, and often across families, their leadership has helped guide Varland forward. That legacy is something we’re proud of and continue to build on every day.

Bob spent more than 24 years at Varland Plating and continued serving as a member of our Board of Directors for many years after. His dedication to both our company and our country is something we deeply appreciate.

World War II veteran celebrates 100th birthday surrounded by loved ones Bob Suddendorf, a World War II veteran, celebrated his 100th birthday at Brookdale Senior Living Home in Springdale, surrounded by family, friends and fellow veterans.

We would like to congratulate Mike Mitchell Jr., Operations Manager, on being selected for the Products Finishing 40 Under 40 Class of 2026!
