With all of these cancellations and needing to still be able to keep my business running, my books are officially open to taking new clients during my afternoon availability for the rest of the summer! My 12-3 availability during the week TUES/THURS & 10:45-3 FRI is now open for booking! New clients and referrals welcome!

To my wonderful amazing clients,

as you have seen and experienced- inflation has been on the rise and salon products have gone up 17-30% from color, foils, gloves, lightener, as well as gas to name a few. Due to this, in order to keep my business running and provide for my family, I will be raising my prices effective immediately.

I understand this may not work for everyone and if so I would be happy to refer you to another stylist.

Please know that I don’t want to raise my services, but I have to. Thank you for all of you who have supported my business and continue to do so!

Just a reminder!

Let’s get transparent and talk about pricing for a second! It’s One of my favorite topics because it gives me the opportunity to break everything down and explain why you pay so much for good hair, people are usually always surprised!
So if you are charged $200 for a color/cut you think your stylist is pretty well off financially and they are doing OK doing that all day.
Reality is, as business owners, we barely make HALF of that sometimes! We have a weekly rent, tools to pay for, products we use to style you out (are typically out of pocket), color-which is a HUGE if not biggest expense, all the extra cleaning supplies since Covid started, 30% for taxes, and more. On top of inflation and our product prices going up over time, we also deserve a raise just like you!

After all said and done, profit is never as much as your actual charge which if you think about it now, seems pretty fair doesn’t it!? Owning your own business is alot of work and requires so much more than you would guess, so be nice to your hairstylist and never complain about their prices!

My tentative due date is February 27th, and I will be taking 12 weeks for maternity leave.

I apologize especially to my clients, for having to take a slight step back in my career during our treatment and during this infertility journey. I also apologize in advance for having to put our family first before my job and taking the extra time off for traveling, doctors appointments, and just plain old not feeling well enough to work (medication side effects are awful and endless). I thank you from the bottom of my heart for understanding and being flexible knowing if I have to reschedule I may not be able to get you back in immediately.. my job has always been the center of my life until this took over and it’s very hard for me to prioritize something else on top of it! All my love!

New policy alert!!!
Due to the nature of being an independent contractor and owning my own business, when you don’t show up for an appointment or cancel without 24-48 hours notice I lose anticipated income for the week, which is how I pay my bills. When you cancel an appointment last minute, it is difficult to fill that spot with another client in such short notice so if possible please give me at least 48 hours. I understand that life happens and emergencies come up, but repeat offenders will be put on a same day only list. After a no show or last minute cancellation, you will not be able to rebook your next appointment with me until you have paid 40% of the previous missed service.
Please know that I do not want to do this but with the number of cancels and an extremely busy schedule, I cannot afford not to.

BIG THINGS HAPPENING.
For now, I will unfortunately no longer be taking new clients at Mint Salon & Spa. If you have not seen me before at Mint, sadly I will not be able to take you on as of right now my main priority is to
my current full clientele. I am so lucky and blessed to have gotten to this point in my career where I can’t fit in any more, thank you to my long standing support from my amazing people! This is not permanent, just for now.
Also, Tim and I will be temporarily moving down south for 6 months or so and I am shortening my hours to accommodate my new, much longer commute. That just means I will no longer be taking my last color/cut appointments at 5:45 but 5:30 instead, and my last haircut appointment will be taken at 7:00. Again, possibly just temporary.
If these new hours or time slots no longer work for you, please let me know and I can recommend you to one of our other talented stylists!
