Finally got to meet Angela after YEARS of being mutuals! This was one of those times where you really realize how small the world is. She knows one of my teen-years best friends (and first "boyfriend"😂 we were in 7th grade, wrote notes and MAYBE held hands lmao) from my home state, and also knows my fiance's current bandmate from back in the day when he was in his first band!
Angela wanted something that looked very natural just to build up the density and add a little shape. I think we gave her exactly that! She is someone that loves to play with makeup as much as I do, but we both felt the better compromise would be to stick with something natural for daily wear, and she can just add a little brow makeup for more edgy styles as needed 🩷

If you haven't already heard the news, the salon that has been my home for the last four & half years is sadly closing its doors. Mint has been a second family to me & I am going to miss it more than I currently know how to put into words. While my heart is broken about the closing of Mint, I am excited to announce that I will be joining the team at Permanent Makeup | Tattoo | Esthetics | 📍Minnesota in St Louis Park beginning in July. The owner, Jonelle, is incredibly talented & has been so supportive of me while working on my own. It's rare to find others in the beauty industry who do not view you as competition, but as someone who has similar goals & interests- but that is exactly how I would describe her. I'm excited to be back in an environment with other PMUAs for the first time in a long time.
Something I was taught back in cosmetology school was that the beauty industry is constantly changing, & will always be changing- That is the only constant. I still very much believe that. Beauty standards, preferences, services, techniques, products, whatever- It's always finding new ways to exist & grow. And I think in order to be successful in this career, you have to be willing to do the same.
This is why I'm so excited to be joining the team at The Archery Collective. I'm excited to be surrounded by people I can potentially learn from, who maybe had a different education than I have, or have had different experiences than me- And maybe with my unique experiences & skill set, they too can learn something from me.
For my existing clients, whether you've been with me since back in Woodbury, or found me at Mint- I hope to see you in St Louis Park at The Archery Collective. I am thankful for you each & every day, because without you, I could not to what I do. You trusting me with your service, referring your friends/family/coworkers, and supporting me online to boost my business content is what allows me to live out my dream. I literally could not do it without your support. Thank you.

I'm FINALLY going to Finland! I've been wanting to go since I was a teenager and it's finally happening 🥲 My fiance was given the opportunity to play at Steelfest, and we figured we'd just make a whole trip out of it! I'm very excited to watch him perform at such a big event, and finally explore Finland after roughly six years of *attempting* to teach myself the language! 

What does this mean for clients/potential clients? While I'm away I will be less available. And by that I mean I will be enjoying a very much needed vacation, so unless the message begins with the word "EMERGENCY", I will be waiting until I return to check any messages. This also means if you want your brows healed before summer kicks off, you really need to get on the books before I leave. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions before 5/13! 😘🩷

Doing my best to start including more photos of mapping! I tell all my clients that this is a part that you really have to use some imagination for, and to think of it like the lines in a coloring book. I draw in the "blueprint" to help get you an idea of what to expect, but during the actual procedure portion of the service, everything I do stays within the border.
This is the part of the service where you get to be as picky as you want to be. I know sometimes it can feel like you are being mean, nitpicky, or offensive towards my work, but it's actually the opposite! Unfortunately at this point in my life, I have not mastered psychic abilities so I have to rely on our conversations during our consultation process and any images that you show me to get an idea of what you like/dislike and accommodate those thoughts and preferences into what makes the most sense for your unique face and bone structure. There can always be some trial and error with this portion, and I put my trust in you to communicate any concerns or adjustments you would like to make.
What would *actually* be mean is lying to spare my feelings and telling me you like it when you really don't, then having me proceed with tattooing it on your face and then we're both upset 🫠 This is a process we work on TOGETHER to ensure you're happy with your results, so don't ever hesitate to speak your mind!
I still have a few appointments available for the rest of this month, and early next month. I will be out of the country for a decent chunk of May, so be sure to get in before then! 🩷🩷
