Straight Up Curls

Not every blonde has to be a bright, stripey platinum.

Blonde can have depth, movement, and dimension. It can look natural, soft, and alive instead of flat and monochromatic.

For this beautiful curly girl we created a dimensional balayage, carefully placing lighter pieces so the curls catch the light and create texture and contrast. Then we toned everything to keep the blonde natural-looking and blended, not harsh or stripy.

And we took about 10 inches off to let those curls bounce and come back to life.

The result?
Soft ribbons of blonde woven through her natural color so every curl has movement and personality.

She was already a natural beauty. We just let her hair show it too. ✨

This has been a behind-the-scenes process longer than most people realize, but I believe in doing things the right way: trained, certified, and insured.

With every new client, at that first appointment, they style their own hair right here in the salon. I guide them step by step from the side, nothing more. I jot it all down too, so they can recreate it at home. That’s how lasting confidence happens. They learn to own it, not just admire it from afar.
But here’s the honest part of what happened:
First go, I suggested a combo of Innersense Quiet Calm and I Create Volume. Her technique was great, but the mix left her curls heavy and gummy, no life to them.
I stopped right there. Rewashed everything. Switched to just I Create Volume, no cream at all. And it came together beautifully.
Had I let her leave with that first result, it would have shaken her trust in me, in the products, in herself. I could not do that to her.
So I made it right, then and there.
She walked out with curls she loved, a real sense of trust in the steps, and that quiet glow of knowing she could do it again.
