Update to all of my friends, colleagues, clients or family who drive the Dixie Hwy. Clarkston, Waterford and surrounding communities; my apologies; the finishing aspects of the outer building at Maria's MakeOver Place is on back burner for now. So sorry, the Party Store is now open for business and so is the salon. We continue to do our best with the interior beauty until a miracle takes place and work to finish resumes; it is out of my hands. Thank you all for your patience and overlooking the papered up exterior. Your prayers are welcomed and so are each of you, stop in or call us. One of my stand by slogans is: the impossible we do at once, miracles take a little longer.

Three words that begin with letter P that can lead to freedom to be!
Antidotes to ward off blame or shame!
Prayers – Surrender to a higher Power, let go and let God in!
Patience – Continue to do one’s mission, go about and carry on.
Peace – Knowing one is not alone and have done one’s best to accept or surrender to a new day, a new way!

The above photo of Maria's MakeOver place salon is history. The new building owners are giving it a new face and presence to the road, I call it a Makeover. New photos will be posted soon. No more so called patriotic colors as a landmark, it may just stand out to the Dixie Hwy. traffic better than before. Patience my friends, the salon has been open through the construction, the party store not so, their interior is being re-done as well.

Gaye and Cindy share a lifetime friendship the continues as they visit Maria's MakeOver place salon during their maintenance hair services. Balancing family, career, friendship and life as it evolves. One snip at a time for all time special friends special people.

Nurturing lifetime relationships takes the initiative and effort from each individual. I have the pleasure of hosting two special women on a bi-monthly bases for hair cuts. Following the personal beauty time they generally pick a place and go for dinner. I am blessed to have a part in this awesome event I am included in the life celebration; a friendship between two; it is now three.
I am blessed to hear the two support one-another through life's ups and downs, the weddings, the birthdays or whatever their careers take them. Their names are Gaye and Cindy.
When life's daily pressure arise it is a breath of fresh air to have a friend to call on who is willing to listen and understand.
I am honored to have a place to foster such friendships. Maria's MakeOver place salon is that sort of happening place for people.
