“Postpartum is a beautiful but often overwhelming
season. Between sleepless nights, hormonal shifts, and new responsibilities, many moms experience heightened stress, anxiety, or mood changes. I became a mom at the age of 22. I had my son at 32 weeks pregnant. Talk about starting off parenthood with a bang. He was in the NICU for 30 days and when we came home, I was terrified. Riddled with anxiety. It didn’t help that my husband was in a unit that was often gone so I did most of it alone. I didn’t live near family, I had no friends. I went into postpartum depression but kept telling myself that I’ll be fine. I then got pregnant with my second baby 20 months after I had my first baby. We moved to a new state and once again, I was alone. After I had my second son, everything became a blur. I don’t remember his first year of life. I had a plan to end it all. 2 years after I had him is when the dark cloud of depression left. I suffered for 2 years by myself. When I unexpectedly got pregnant 4 years later, I knew I never wanted to visit that dark place again. 4 months after I had my third baby, I decided to start Neurofeedback. It has changed my life. My patience for my kids lasts so much longer than before. I feel like I can breathe and live my life and be the mother that I have always wanted to be. I am no longer consumed with anxiety and fear, thanks to Neurofeedback! I wish I knew about this back when I had my first baby.”
