Hello everyone!
AI hope you all had a great weekend!! We were given new advice from the STL county Dept. Of Public Health and landlord. If you were in any area this passed weekend where you did not wear a mask or follow social distancing guidelines(such as Lake of the Ozarks) Please reschedule your appointment. Thank you for understanding.
Hello Ladies and Gents!!!
The moment you all have been waiting for!!!!!!!! Drum roll please…..I’m very pleased to announce my salon will be reopening Monday the 18th. It will be lovely to get to see your beautiful faces again. Below you will find a listing of operating guidelines that both I (as the salon owner/operator) and you (as the guest) will be expected to follow. Know that they are put in place following guidance from regional leadership, state board, and my landlord. Know that some parts will be frustrating, but they will be our clearest path through to a safe and responsible reopening of business. Please, as always, do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have!
- The day before and day of your appointment, please take your temperature at home to ensure you are not currently running a fever. If your temperature is higher than 100.1 you will be asked to reschedule your appointment for the safety of yourself and others.
- Please be mindful of any symptoms you may be experiencing. Coughing, sneezing, fever, chills - if you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
- Clients must wait in their cars until they are notified the salon is ready to start their appointment. All waiting areas in and around the salon are closed for the time being.
- Clients are required to wear a mask to all appointments. The earloop or surgical mask are best. I realize this may cause some complications during your service, I will do my best to work around It. The surgical type mask may be best. if you have a surgical mask you can get gauze tape and the mask to the sides of your cheeks. This will mitigate the ear loops being an issue. Please note that if you are getting hair color please do not bring fanciest mask you have. There is no guarantee that it will not match your hair when you leave!! If you come to your appointment and do not have a mask I will not be able to provide your service and you will be asked to reschedule.
- You may not bring outside bags and containers into the salon at this time. This is to prevent cross contamination as much as possible. If you have a small purse you may keep it on your lap during the service.
- Contactless payments (like apple pay) are preferred as much as possible, traditional chip card transactions will be available, and my equipment will be sanitized before and after each use.
- When you enter the salon, you will be asked to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer that will be provided. Please refrain from touching your face/mask once this has been done. You will also be asked to stay in the cutting chair throughout any processing time that may be attached to your appointment. Unfortunately this is guidance from the state. I know our other chairs will be calling you to sit in them, but please refrain.
Per state guidance no more than one person will be allowed in the salon at one time with the door closed. This means no friends, kids, spouses, assistants, or pets.If you are coming to your appointment with another person, or two individuals are coming together, the second person will be asked to remain in your car until you leave and they can come in (even if you live in the same household).
I am currently not seeing children (under the age of 😎 that cannot keep a mask on for the duration of their appointment. This is for the safety of them. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
- I will not be cleaning up beards/ eyebrow or waxing clients for the time being, as it could get quite interesting to cut/wax around a mask. 😜 . I will resume all facial services once some of the danger associated with close exposure has passed and some of the stricter requirements are lifted. I am truly sorry for the inconveniences this causes.
- I will not be blowdrying clients for the time being (excepting services that it is required for, i.e. keratin). This will prevent the excessive spread of germs, and also allow me to complete appointments in as timely a fashion as possible.
I realize some of these requirements are inconvenient. I ask for understanding and patience in this time. As I have an unprecedented number of people clamoring for appointments and I have stricter sanitation and business guidelines than I’ve ever had imposed in my twelve years in the industry. Please note that with the new sanitary guidelines after each guest, I will be vigorously cleaning before and after appointment to make sure my salon is sanitized for the next guest. There may be an instance where I may be running a couple minutes behind. Please be patient with me. I am going to do my best to keep everything on schedule.
If you purchased a gift card online during the shut down, please remind me when it is time to process your transaction.
I know these new sanitary requirements are not ideal, but they are implemented to keep you safe and allow our businesses to be reopen. If you have any questions of concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thanks again for sticking with me during this time. I know it has been hard. I’m very much looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces!
XOXO,
Vanessa Dugan
