I’m Kaylene (Kay) Curtis—licensed aesthetician, tattoo & pmu artist, educator, and the vision behind Swiftwater Aesthetics, a cozy boutique studio in Cle Elum, Washington ✨
My passion for skincare, wellness, and helping others feel confident in their skin has taken me on an incredible journey over the last 15+ years, from working as a traveling aesthetician to opening my dream space here in the Pacific Northwest 🌲

I share life and business (Rune Tattoo) with my husband while raising our two amazing young kids, Freya and Fen. We love to travel—especially to Thailand, a place that feels like our second home and where we often spend our winters ☀️ The warmth, simplicity, and beauty of our time overseas continue to inspire both our lives and work 💫
As much as we love the beach, our roots are here in town where we’ve been our whole lives. My family from Sicily (Giuseppi and Angelia Vallone) were born in the mid 1800s and migrated here to mine coal in Roslyn. The homes of all my family are all still there in Roslyn. My great uncles purchased our building in 1986 and opened our family restaurant, MaMa Vallone’s. Our studios are now located on the second floor of this building ❤️

Meet Maddy & Jessie! — the radiant duo behind Sister Moon Skincare, lovingly handcrafted in Ellensburg, Washington ✨

I’ve had the joy of knowing Maddy for over a decade (and working alongside her through the years — she even came to visit us twice in Southeast Asia!). She’s not only a wonderful friend but one of the most gifted service providers I’ve met.

So when Maddy and Jessie began crafting their own skincare line, I knew it was going to be something special. Each product is infused for a minimum of 3 months, with the jars rotated and blessed with healing intention. It’s skincare made with heart, from the herbs and flowers grown on their family farms to the thoughtfully chosen (never plastic!) jars 🌸

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of trying every serum, balm, and oil they offer — and my skin has never been happier 🥹 And for those of you who are cautious about trying new skincare (I see you, “I’m sensitive!” and “Only CeraVe works for me” friends) — this is for you!That’s why we created smaller, try-me sizes — so you can experience the magic without the full-size commitment (though you’ll want that soon enough)! 🌼

For her first Lip Blushing appointment, we opted for a soft, natural shade that complements any look, day or night. ✨
This subtle color gives her a beautiful, effortless tint while allowing the flexibility to go bolder in the future. Once she’s comfortable with her new lips, we can deepen the shade in her next session to match her usual wine & berry lipstick shades. 💄
Since she wasn’t quite ready to commit to that level of vibrancy just yet, this was the perfect starting point for a fresh, natural enhancement! 😍

Color fades approximately 30-40% depending on skin type and proper aftercare regime and lasts 3+ years on average.
