Reality check: PMU is semi-permanent, not static. It’s designed to age out softly so it doesn’t leave a harsh tattooed imprint forever. Most clients need a refresh around 12–24 months to bring back definition and color balance.
Top pic is immediately after. Bottom is a year later.
• Color fades 30–70% depending on skin type, sun exposure, skincare, and pigment depth
• Strokes blur slightly (especially in oily skin or areas with faster cell turnover), so hair strokes can look more shaded or powdery
• Tone shifts can happen—warm pigments may cool down, cool pigments can go slightly ashy or muted
• Shape stays, detail softens—the overall brow structure is still there, but edges are less sharp

🎨 Why do PMU brows look warmer right after your appointment?
This picture shows a healed brow (left) and the brows the day of service (right).
This is intentional—and important for long-term results.
When we implant pigment into the skin, your body immediately starts healing. During that process:
• Cool tones (ashy/gray) tend to heal even cooler
• Skin undertones + blood flow can shift pigment appearance
• Over time, all pigments soften and lose warmth
If we started with a cool or neutral color, your healed brows could turn too ashy or gray.
So we “pre-correct” by choosing a slightly warmer pigment at the start. As your skin heals and the color settles, that warmth balances out—leaving you with a natural, neutral brow.
PMU isn’t about how it looks on day one—it’s about how it heals.
