Releasing control is something I REGULARLY struggle with
It’s scary to surrender to the unknown

And yet every time someone sits in my chair and releases control it allows me to make magic happen and the results are always amazing

Finding someone you trust enough to be able to fully relax, be seen, heard, and know that they got you is so important

Maybe growth isn’t becoming someone new.
Maybe it’s finally seeing clearly enough to stop abandoning who you already are.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how I can better show up for my clients, my kids, my husband, and myself
The conclusion I’ve come to is this:

I can’t…

pouring into one or even two creates a deficit somewhere else
For so long I’ve tried to be everything for everyone… to the point that I lost sight of so many things and lost myself…

I learned pouring into myself was the best way to pour into others. It took work and retraining my brain but I did it and I felt the best I ever had…

I never thought I’d get here again after working so hard to fill my own cup for years and yet, here I am again…in a new phase of life that tugs at me in every direction…
A phase requiring my attention, my love, my care, my listening ears, my words, my hands, my drivers license 😅

All this to say that pouring into yourself isn’t something you just automatically do. It’s a choice and a damn hard one when your natural instinct is to care for others first

So please let this be your reminder… your wake up call…
DO NOT lose yourself. DO NOT let it get to the point where you lose your spark… where the task of getting up, getting ready, and nourishing your body become chores we fight to complete

WE are worthy of fighting for ourselves and pouring into our own cups 🖤

From one burnt out mom/ woman/ business owner to another I see you and I have so much love for you

Ever notice how your hair somehow always looks and feels better when you get it done professionally… even when you try to recreate the exact same steps at home?

It’s not just the products or techniques.
I know that because even I notice the difference in my own hair when someone else does it for me.

The deeper reason is something most people don’t think about or realize…

Hair holds energy.

Your crown chakra, the energy center connected to identity, intuition, and connection to something bigger than yourself, literally sits at the top of your head. So when someone intentionally cares for your hair, it becomes more than maintenance.

It’s an energy exchange.

It’s someone pouring into you while you allow yourself to receive.

It’s the universe witnessing you choose yourself.

That’s why salon appointments often feel emotional, grounding, releasing, or even confidence shifting in ways that have nothing to do with the actual hair.

And yet… when things get tight financially, the first things we tend to cut are the very things that remind us we’re worthy of receiving care, support, softness, and investment.

Almost feels like an oxymoron.
