So.... I was checking out my schedule for the next couple months... I am booking quickly. I've gained tons of new business since I moved the salon and its kept me crazy busy. I'm going to have to start being stricter with my scheduling so that I can continue to give my family and homeschooling the attention necessary. If anyone needs to get booked..call or text me ASAP. I know I've always been able to be pretty flexible and accommodate..but its getting filled up quickly! Let me know SOON!

Over 75 sunscreens were recently recalled due to the presence of benzene, a contaminant that causes blood disorders like anemia, leukemia and other cell-based cancers following chronic exposure and is also a reproductive toxin. Customers are asked to dispose of or request a refund for the affected bottles immediately. It would be bad enough if this was the only dangerous chemical, but there are more.

FDA officials are currently in the process of overhauling its guidelines for sunscreen production in the United States and two more ingredients, tromaline aline salicylate and PABA — are no longer recognized as safe. And an active sunscreen ingredient known as oxybenzone has become increasingly condemned by health providers and ecologists alike. It's been "noted to ruin coral reefs and have negative effects on our endocrine system," according to Kenneth Mark, MD.

Experts tell us that the safest sunscreens are those that use zinc or titanium dioxide as the active ingredient. We prefer zinc. As it happens, there are a couple of those on the recall list. We stick to brands that are organic these days to minimize the risks. Two brands we trust and like are and . What's your favorite organic sunscreen?

Hey everyone.. just a little update: my husband and I have toyed with the idea of moving the salon home for a few years now. This was always my dream from the start. I had an awesome location in Clemmons with great landlords... but with the annual rent increases and the cost of living increasing, plus home schooling my son and outrageous childcare pricing, it was best for my family to close the Clemmons location. I am still taking appointments and providing Hair services at a new location. Please call or text for location information and appointment scheduling. Just F.Y.I. I have removed the "online scheduling" feature from my system. I have had WAY TOO MANY people schedule appointments and not show up... and many situations that were a little questionable, to say the least.

Somehow this year has flown by so fast you almost feel like you've missed it. Most wouldn't complain about that with all of these wild and crazy challenges we have faced throughout 2020!!! The holidays are my ABSOLUTE favorite time of year!!!! With Thanksgiving just a couple of weeks away... Hey everyone.. I know just how crazy times are these days!! Trying to work, remote learning, a-days or b-days, .... all on top of our normal household, marriage and 'mommying' responsibilities. I, too, feel that struggle!!.. with homeschooling and regular life duties. I am making myself available Monday through Friday and I have decided to open back up on some Saturdays. Each week my schedule will be open for 3 to 4 days from Monday to Saturday, with my days off varying from week to week. I am also going to be available through the week for later appointment time but you must call or text for these openings. Let me know what you need and I will do my very best to accommodate!! Booking in advance will give the best chances of getting your desired days and times! Also, know that you can always bring the kiddos with you if you need to! Thanks guys!
