7 years ago, I went to a heart Doctor for an exam. They x- rayed me, ran a tube up my wrist, put me under a mild anathesia, to look at my heart. Well, when I came too, I heard siren’s! I was still groggy, and my first thought was “someone must really being in trouble! I realized then I was in an ambulance and was told I was going to Parkridge Hospital for open heart surgery.(most people who knew me didn’t even think I had a heart!!). They rooled me in Parkridge Hospital, put me in a hospital bed, and put me “under”. Under what I asked them??” I became groggy and passed out. The morning, they sawed my sternum, cracked it open, put my heart on a machine, put a stint in an artery, and rolled me out. My salvation they told me, was I never smoked! They told if if I was a smoker, it would be a hole other situation! If you smoke, Quit! Your family needs tou alive and well!
