A longtime teleprompter operator for President Donald Trump allegedly tried to make more than $90,000 on Kalshi by betting on the president’s remarks.

The trades were allegedly made by Gabriel Perez, a technical assistant to the president who has served as a teleprompter operator for Trump since 2016.

Perez allegedly made bets on what the president would say during major speeches using Kalshi’s “mentions” market, the company said. It first spotted the suspicious trades in March. The account has since been frozen.
