Hi friends! Long post ahead.

First and foremost, I want to thank all of my wonderful clients for their continued support. ♥️

As many of you know, I am extremely understanding and flexible when it comes to booking and appointments.
With that being said, this is my business, my passion, and my livelihood. A majority of my clientele book big-ticket services—colors, blonding, extensions, etc.—and when your appointment is booked for 3-5 hours and you cancel just hours before, it’s nearly impossible to fill that spot on such short notice. I get it, things happen, life is wild. But you are aware of the cancellation policy that is in place; it’s included in Vagaro when your appointment is booked.

Over the last several years, I rarely implement this policy because I am a people pleaser, that’s why I do what I do, I love making people feel good. But I can’t keep doing that if I don’t get the same respect for my time that I give you for yours. For years, this industry has been treated with such disregard. Nobody ever fights back when their tattoo artist takes deposits for appointments or when a dentist or doctor charges for canceled appointments, so what makes us different? In many ways, we make you feel better than they do, and we often have a deeper relationship with our clients. We, as hairdressers, always have our clients’ backs. Do you have ours?
