The idea that mechanical exfoliation can alter hair growth patterns is simply a myth. Dermaplaning works by gently removing dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin, but it does not affect the hair follicle itself. Hair growth is controlled by the hair follicle beneath the skin, and dermaplaning doesn’t pe*****te deep enough to alter this process. The texture and growth rate of hair are determined by genetics and hormonal influences, not surface-level exfoliation. So rest assured, your clients’ hair will grow back as it normally would, with no changes in thickness or length.
