What a difference in just 2 weeks! I’ve been trying to talk this client into going gray for the longest time. Her natural hair color is absolutely beautiful. She finally said she was ready and this did not disappoint!

Our first session was on August 11th and the second session was today. Each appointment took about 4 hours each. 😅

This process is tedious, time consuming and costly, but it’s so worth it in the end.

Slow and steady wins the race! 🖤🤍

I’ve been anticipating this post for over a year now! Back in 2018 I traveled to San Antonio with 3 friends for my very first Behind the Chair show. Wow, what an experience! I have been to lots of hair shows and taken countless classes, but none of them came close to comparing to the BTC show. One of my favorite parts of the trip was attending the One Shot Hair Awards. I was in awe of the talent in the room!
I was planning to enter a photo for the contest last year, but at the time I didn’t have a public Instagram for my business, only my personal account and it is private. So last year I made this account and my goal all along was to enter the One Shot awards when the time came!
This goal pushed me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to be a better stylist. I’m not the best at putting myself, or my work, out there, but I love all things hair and what all this career has to offer. I wasn’t giving up on my goal no matter how uncomfortable it made me (and I wonder where my daughter gets her competitiveness! Ha!). 😉
So here it is... my very first entry for the contest!! There’s more to come and I’m so excited!
