Some bangers from this week I haven’t posted.

Between working and mom life some things slip thru the cracks- one being posting here.

Yes, it’s fun to share my work but it’s not my first, second, or even third priority.

If you hadn’t seen yours this week you’ll likely find it here, but you also know if you won’t— because I don’t always remember to get pics! 😝🥲

Some days at Goldilox are about a whole lot more than hair and nails. 🖤

My very first client walked through the door this morning, and I could immediately tell she was upset. She had just spent her entire 30-minute drive processing the news that her grandmother had passed away. (May she rest in peace and her family find comfort in all the memories they share.)

So we sat with that for a minute. Because sometimes life is heavy, and sometimes you just need somebody to sit in it with you and hug it out.

And then? We wiped our tears, got our asses in gear, and created this absolute BADASS set of nails.

The rest of my day was just as full of life.

I got to hear about a family buying and remodeling their dream home, building a future and making memories for their babies.
I had someone offer to stay and help me clean up the salon and just chat in between clients, sharing our love for music and sharing songs.
I got to catch up with someone who’s built a successful hunting and fishing business doing what he loves so his wife can be there for their kids at home.

And the craziest part? Every single person in my chair today was family to me in one way or another.

Grief. Growth. Excitement. Success. New beginnings and heartbreaking goodbyes. All in my own little salon, all in one day. 🤯

I had two clients from yesterday reach out and express gratitude in the service they received. One felt more like herself than she had in a long time and even put makeup on, something she never does.

I think sometimes we forget how much life happens in a salon chair. We laugh, we vent, we celebrate, we cry, and somewhere in between, I get to make you feel a little more beautiful.

Today was a full-circle kind of day.

I opened Goldilox to do what I love. I didn’t realize just how much I’d love the people who fill it.

And THAT is worth more than any fully booked schedule… but, side note, ya girl is booked. So if you need in, see ya in Nov or Dec!!!

As a hairstylist, nail tech, waxer, facialist, business owner, and mom, I wear a LOT of hats throughout the day. And I do my absolute best to stay on schedule, but sometimes those hats get a little tangled. 🤡

I genuinely respect that ALL of our time is valuable. I try to be punctual and keep my appointments running smoothly, but occasionally services take longer than anticipated, life happens, or— I simply overestimate how much I can squeeze into one day.

If I’m running behind, I always do my best to communicate that with you so you have the option to wait or reschedule if needed. And on the rare occasion that I need to move an appointment because I’ve overbooked myself, I sincerely appreciate your flexibility. 🫣

We’re all part of the working class, juggling jobs, kids, meetings, phone calls, appointments, and everything else life throws our way. I understand that your schedule can change just as quickly as mine!

My goal is never to inconvenience you, and I never want you to feel like your time matters any less than my own.
