Lots of respiratory/allergies-on-steroids going around these days! It took me out half of last week. And it still seems to be lingering for many clients coming in and out of the studio. So here’s what I do during heightened immune system seasons:

Obvi, the standard cleaning protocol, wiping down table, mats, ALT machine, any tool touched, door handles, etc.

Then I spray the Imani Guardian Air surface and air spray on all the surfaces and airs ☺️

For those clients that aren’t feeling the greatest, I make sure to put some of the VerVita Products Immune oil on them. Today’s locations were mostly thymus and cervical nodes/neck/throat. After each client that isn’t feeling great, I try to remember to reapply myself. I included sinus points on myself today too since that was my major symptom last week.

Finally, I head over to the HaloRed room (or Biocharger room if they used the machine), and spray Rowe Casa Organics ‘ Immunity spray (after wiping down all of the things in those rooms as well). Whew! 😅

Clients, you are well taken care here at the studio 🤗

I haven’t lifted heavy in about 2 weeks - that alone should’ve been a sign to me that something was looming. I managed to fight some of it off through last weekend, then either relapsed or got hit hard with something else middle of the week. The no sleep for multiple nights in a row thing really does make it linger longer than it should 😓.

Anyway, today I felt decent enough to get in a lift and the old school PT in me (fun fact: I’ve been a personal trainer for over 12 years 🤗) always brings it back to the basics after taking a couple of weeks off.

Over the last few months, I’ve noticed my nervous system can’t handle lifting heavy on consecutive days. So I have to be strategic about my lifts, typically incorporating some compound moves, on specific muscle groups, keeping the weight heavy and the reps low, with decent 1-3 min breaks in between sets.

Of course, since I was excited to feel almost back to normal, I probably pushed back and bi’s harder than I should have (I did see stars a few times 🙈🤪). But I had my trusty electrolyte, glutamine, creatine, mega Igg, alovea and protein drink throughout my workout, which saved me.

Let’s hope today’s workout doesn’t backfire 😅 but it sure did feel good to be back. Now on to cheer on my son’s football game in the rain 😬.

This podcast was an INCREDIBLE reminder of this amazing resource I’ve had in my hands for years and has been here at the studio library since I opened! As you can tell, there are a few sticky notes in it here and there, of specific areas of the body that come up often either for me or for clients.

Dr. Perry Nickleston is the reason I focus heavily on the lymphatic system with my clients and myself. He brought such awareness for me in my health journey, that sent me on a path of getting my massage license so I could help others struggling as well. His workshops are so detailed and so full of knowledge and takeaways to apply on yourself and others. And now to combine the physical with the emotional and mental by interviewing Inna Segal just brings it all full circle! ✨

I’ve gotten away from some of the basics for myself and some struggles have started to arise for me once again. This podcast helped me dig out the book, take a look at the areas I need, and remember where I’ve been, where I am now, and where I want to go, yes physically, but emotional, mental and spiritual also tie into it.

Tune into the podcast, and next time you’re in, browse through the book while doing your BioCharger session. 💫

Girl.
(Or Dude).

Let me tell you about the 🙌🏽

This has been my new best friend, it goes with me everywhere (as you can see from all the school-pick-up-carline pics).

Really though, I’ve been using it on myself, my family, and my clients for:
- emotional health
- lymph
- vagus nerve/nervous system support
- neuropathy
- skin health
- allergies
- recovery post-game
…..just to name a few.

It has been such an easy addition to any service my clients select, because I set it on a targeted area, select the appropriate pulsed lighting and/or micro-current, adjust the timer, throw a bean bag on top to secure the contact to the skin, and then continue with my treatment, whether it is lymphatic work, muscular work, CFT or CST!

Dr. Richard Amy is the GOAT of all things photobiomodulation, running studies and trials proving the efficacy of pulsed red light with the FDA. This specific type of pulsed laser light has been shown to work 10 to 40 times better than non-pulsed lasers. He has established specific protocols that cover key health concerns, sports rehab, nerve and wound healing, for over 2 decades.

With the addition of the indigo light feature, we can now target healing of pathogens, muscular repair, scar tissue, cuts or wounds, and that’s on top of the benefits from the infrared and red lasers that help with pain relief, increased circulation, nerve regeneration, deep tissue repair, and immune support. Now add on the pulsed electrical stimulation and you get all of those benefits in one session, along with accelerated muscular recovery, increased athletic performance, and additional pain relief support. Why wouldn’t we use it?!

Ask how we can incorporate it at your next session if we haven’t already!
